alright some things didn’t add up towards the end but my heart is smiling and maybe that’s all a girl needs every now and then

currently writing this from my grave because reading “zoom-zoom juice” as a substitute for the word “coffee” made me go to my grave early

corny on the MF cob. I mean I was entertained, don’t get me wrong, but sheesh this read like a 2013 fan fic

yeah, I blushed, but I also wanted to throw a brick at the heroine to get her shit together, so here I am with a three-star review to offer

a 2nd book in a series that doesn’t fall into the second book syndrome? let’s fucking rage (and also be blessed i won’t have to see the words “wings” and “mate” for a moment tybg) 3.5/4

god damn my brain hurts but shit was that great.

a historical romance that almost took me a month to read? hell has indeed frozen over! 2.5/5

a frustrating read. when a book leans into the narrative of “no plot just vibes” i love a character growth pay off and this just wasn’t there. pretty writing can do some things but not all! ((1.5/5))

much like Frankenstein himself, this book takes a while to find its footing, but then it does...kinda? I think the sexual-ish beginning of this will steer people in the wrong direction, and if that doesn't then the religion subplot will. Why I hung around? the swoon-worthy one-liners (!!!) that had me second guessing how the author of the Hating Game also birthed this ((still shocked tbh)
