3.5/5 -- While I did miss the whole politics-and-court-drama thing of the first two books, this one still had the bits and pieces of Dabos writing style I love and adore and could go on forever about so all in all it was a good time
A book that made me cry on the beach (and by a m*n nonetheless!) is a job well done, consider me a first class passenger on the Sanderson hype train.
can’t believe a book I bought for $2 because the title made me laugh has become one my favorite reads of this year. love when this happens!
I truly believe if this series had come out before the HP era, these books would’ve taken their place. The world-building, premise, and characters are in a league of their own—it’s just so different from anything else I've read before.
if anyone has the contact information for a miss stacy reid plz let me know for she ripped my heart out of my chest and then put it back together all in under 400 pages — a goddamn sexy, groveling, heartfelt delight
a little too Jane Austen reference heavy/insta-love for me but in a world where a lot of books tend to blend together Holton’s writing shines
i find no point in rating a book that’s as iconic and as old as this one, but just know you can’t out do the doer!!!!
unbelievably sharp and full of tenderness, TJR can do no wrong. 4.5/5
the b in backman stands for bangerz—can he write a bad book? asking for a friend. 4.5/5
