not to quote KFC, but (I'm going to do it anyway) this book was FINGER LICKIN' GOOD!!!

where are thou Emily Henry circa ‘Beach Read?’ I miss her! I love her! I need her!

The best way to describe my relationship with this book would be like putting on a newly thrifted vintage sweater…it’s cozy, at first, but then after a while it starts to get stuffy, itchy and suddenly you’re like fuck another unnecessary metaphor, side characters I don’t care for, and subplots that just like don’t matter

and it falls to the middle book syndrome, everyone!!! :/

this was bananas but not in a fun kooky way but like “god, help me what is going on” way. i am a Gallagher girl, i loved carter growing up but this was not it. the plot structure is off, the characters are too YA, the instalove gave me whiplash and and a fade to black sex scene? IN THIS ECONOMY? absolutely not. also losing my mind at the random british inclusion at the end

vocabulary usage was a bit obscurce for my tastes but damn does a grand gesture of love always get me

for the love of god where was the editor for this book…out sick? vacation?

so many things ticked me off about this book that would’ve been easily solved with an editor!!!!!!! come onnnnnnn, like did a woman even beta read this?

meh served with a side of smut

characterization, please! i beg of the. in romance there’s always the “why them together” question we have to answer as readers and this book truly never gets there

textbook definition of a beach read — sweet and heartfelt but doesn’t go as deep as you’d like
