Nine Parts of Desire: The Hidden World of Islamic Women by Geraldine Brooks
3.0
A very informative read but such a tough one mainly because of the cramped words and choice of font. I am not sure. But there is a lot more than what is potrayed in this book that happens in the real world in the Arabs Country.
The Interior by Lisa See
3.0
A fiction-thriller that made me sleepless at night questioning Mioshan and Keith death. Does Mioshan death is a suicide? Keith is ran by a car, but is it accidentaly? Theres a few suspects and Keith death links to The Knight, a toy company owned by Henry that is being sell to The Tartan based in L.A.
The most interesting part is discovering the real story behind Mioshan's death that taught readers of how immoral people can become and how they could go beyond the extent of greediness.
Hulan, the main character, she always cherish her own happiness and stand as an equal to the opposite gender when it came to carrier. David, her fiance, had to beg her to stay and build a family but she has to fulfill her promise to Mioshan's mother, Ling Suchee that believed her only child death was made up. Thats when she decided to disguise and work in the Knight Complex where Mioshan's was working to investigate. It is surely not a pleasant place to work. So does it has anything to do with Mioshan's death which is then leads to another series of "suicide" which is Xiao Yang & Tsai Bing's?
Back to Keith's case. It is sure a scandalous one, followed by both Pearl the reporter and Guy's death in the hotel room.
Many people dies, its an overwhelming reads but thats not the reason Im rating this 3.5⭐ but in between chapters, theres too many story telling of the other characters backgrounds, politic stands, some about reminscing the war, etc that bored me out. But the story line is good and It plays with my imagination very well. I would deffinately read her other books.

Reclaim Your Heart (Rebut Kembali Hatimu): Wawasan-Mencerahkan tentang Cinta, Duka, dan Bahagia by Yasmin Mogahed
4.0
(I've read this book in an indonesian-malay translation. Thus, I wrote my review in the same language)
Nota sisi : Akan baca lagi tapi versi ori (inggeris). Agak banyak perkataan indonesia yang sukar difahami

Lovebirds: Discover Your Love Type--One of 8 Birds--and the Secrets to Living with the One You Love by Trevor Silvester
3.0
Though two person is differ from each other, things can work well as long as we learn to understand and tolerate with the differences. Fun "exercise" to determined your bird type is included in this book.
"I believe relationships don't usually fail from lack of love, but from a lack of understanding and a failure to nourish".
Actually it is more like a 2.5⭐ for me.

Anxiety for Beginners: A Personal Investigation by Eleanor Morgan

Fun reads and maybe more of a memoir then a self-help book? Also, contain vulgar words. Just a head up. Overall I enjoyed reading this book and I feel like re-reading it.
Black Rainbow: How words healed me: my journey through depression by Rachel Kelly
4.0
Have you ever thought of yourself going through depressions? Or you just don't realise them yet?
.
Its impressive when most of Rachel's writings are similar to what I've been through especially after giving birth. I thought its just the baby blue symtomps that I was having. But it is more than that and I am thankful I only have a mild one and continuously trying to get better.
.
Following her suggestion to get myself analised through a website is a game changer. I've been receiving emails from the team members every single day and I love going through them in the evening. I'm still a mess in the morning as my anxiety is on its highest level.
.
About sleeping disorder/ insomnia, I still have them once in a while as I went through this book. I've jot down a couple of general tips about combating insomnia and anxiety which is :
1. Stop being anxious about sleep itself. Start believing that in due course I would get the sleep I needed, though it might not always be conveniently at night and I needed to arrange my life as far as I could to make this possible. If i was awake at night, make it feel normal opposed to frightening & remind myself that I wasn't alone.
2. Being compassionate to myself is sometimes enough. When I'm sufficiently calm, I can then try to change the narrative of my thoughts.
.
Researchs found that highly sensetive children who seem to feel things more deeply than their peers may prove more vulnerable to depressions as adults. Knowing this, I would do my best to keep my children live more in their presents and just be happy, give them more opportunities to have choices, be able to let their feelings out more open and give them more time to overcome their negative feelings on their on.
.
Theres so much I want to share and review about this book but as far as I've written, I think It is about enough and I suggest you to read them yourselves.

I never cried this much reading a book. But this book was written in much honesty that it touches my heart and before I knew it, tears went down on my cheeks. Family separation hurts
