I had higher hopes for this book, being drawn to it by its many recommendations. I found the writing average - not particularly captivating ... UNTIL... it got to describing the Underworld. While the unfortunate bratty main character seems a little flat, the descriptions of the two worlds make up for it. It took about halfway for me to truly stop critiquing the writing style and just give in. It’s an easy read. Also I found a few things were never mentioned or weren’t resolved. Didn’t hate it. Didn’t love it.

Fantastic. I finished the previous two books in this series within days as well. The main characters are given such strong attributes. I found this third book however to be the most character development in the series thus far. Very much looking forward to the final chapter in this series.

Beautiful story. I normally don’t like stories with historic references however this one might have changed my mind. This is a thoughtful book that had me thinking about the ending for days afterwards. It has become my #1 recommendations to friends & family.
