Honest opinion...I didn't really enjoy reading this.It was wayyyy too fast for me what with only 9 chapters and an epilogue.I usually like reading books with realistic plots that I can connect to...that's probably why I did not like this one.
I feel like the author could have worked more on character development and building the plot rather than just directly jumping into the climax.
Personally,I think that this book could do with a lot more work and editing. An okay overall one time read for me.

Honestly, idek where to start.I actually liked the starting of the book which had me thinking that this would be a good read...until everything went to shit obviously.
First and foremost,I did not like the pacing of this story because it was too fast for me personally. As a sucker for a slowburn romance,I disliked the way the story progressed in the blink of an eye. There was absolutely no buildup to the intimate moment that the MCs share and the few smutty moments that they did share seemed too rushed. Also not to mention, when they finally confess their love to each other Cosette's dog bites Caden in the ass.I mean, way to ruin such an important moment.
I might sound harsh while saying this, but I felt that this book wasn't really well thought out and needs a lot more work for it to actually keep the reader's attention.
The scene that I remotely enjoyed was when Cosette and Caden get married in the end.
Overall,I felt that a lot of toxic relationships were glorified in this book and that for a so called "independent" female MC,Cosette sure was quite dependent on people like her mother, who imo,did not deserve any feelings of affection whatsoever.
Although,I must say I did have a few good laughs while reading Another Motherfaker because some things just seemed to stop making sense after a point.
It's safe to say that I won't be touching any other books by these authors...no offence intended obviously.

Fighting Silence by Aly Martinez

I don't know why I've held off on reading this series for so long, but I guess better late than never.
The thing that I probably enjoyed most was Till and Eliza's dynamic throughout the book.I absolutely adored Aly's style of writing and how she managed to tell Eliza and Till's story so eloquently as well as the trials and tribulations they had to go through at such a young age.
Fighting silence had me pleasantly surprised at how much I actually enjoyed reading a book with a hearing impaired MC and has opened my mind to reading more books with MCs with an impairment/disability.
I can't wait to read more of this series and to devour Flint's story next :))

Unchosen Ruler: The O'Malley Family by Maggie Cole, Maggie Cole

3.5⭐/5 (rounded to 4⭐)
I honestly did enjoy reading this book. However, the only thing that I didn't like was that the pacing was too fast for my liking. The MCs were confessing their love for each other early on in the initial chapters, which seemed a little absurd to me ngl.I also felt that their relationship was borderline toxic, especially for people that were in their late 30s/early 40s.
Reading a romance between older characters was a first for me,since I'm usually used to reading stories about characters in their early to late twenties.
Nonetheless, the age factor wasn't a turn off for me and I did enjoy the intense smut in this one. That was probably the best part of this book apart from the sexy as sin male MC as well as side characters.
Overall,I'd say that it was a good one time read.I would def recommend this book to all those that enjoy a fast paced yet passionate romance, even if I myself,am not a huge fan of this story.
