This was a great second installment, or a second book to the duology. I really enjoy following Simidele along her journey. She has a strong sense of duty that she must save everyone. But things keep ongoing wrong. And she believes that she can never be happy, so she has to sacrifice herself for everyone else and along her journey, she discovers that They're all in it together. this book is rich in the mythology, and I love that about it with the added lore of mermaids made it even better and the love story that grew between kola and Simiele was good. also good touch. i think it was a solid medium pace and had a good dose of adventure action with the love story. It was very much a mix between plot and characters focused

I really enjoyed this book. It is a dual POV with a past and present. which was really cool. It is a horror fantasy book about a girl who can see ghosts and a magical haunted mansion. The main character really sometimes made me love her, somethines made me hate her. I ended up really not liking the mother at the end. But then on the other side, Britney's Arc was good, and I'm glad that they gave her an arc, and she wasn't just there to tell the story in the present. The twist that the dead girl they were talking about right was one girl and not the girl, I thought it was was amazing. You know, you know.

I enjoyed this book. the relationship between Raven and Elsbeth was believable. The magic system was interesting. The stakes that were presented were high and I fell into it. the climax was good, had me glued to figure out what would happen. Can't wait for book 2.

The last 25% of the book when they landed on the island it's when it picked up for me. That is, the more fast-paced section of the book intends to align with my preferences. I enjoyed the storytelling. I enjoyed the culture. Simi had some major cancer development that made her character lovable and relatable. Now i'm excited to get into book two I did not anticipate the twist at the end

I like this book. It was fast-paced, but still told a good story. The plot went along well. Once you thought you had everything predicted, they threw the twist at you, which was unbelievable. You fall in love with the characters they're very likable, you start to root for people, and then everything's twisted upside down once the twist happens. And then at the end, it's still left me, not knowing exactly what I wanted or whose side I was on

The characters are black - that's what I mean about mixed diversity. It's not white like usual, but it's not a mix. It's a mystery horror, and I enjoyed it more listening than I did when I started reading on kindle. Le (FMC) can time travel and she has a trauma that she keeps going back to the day. But because she changes something - it alters the future. I like the main character to a fault. She has the right to feel how she feels but I thought she was bratty at times. Ilam is my favorite character! He is supportive and empathizes with her. He can time travel too.

This was a good autobiography. I think the production of it was good. I listened to the audio and I really enjoyed her telling her story and all of her inflections and everything. A lot happened to her before she turned 21, and I really love the different perspective that hearing her story brought. She have examples reasons and a lot of in depths contacts to what we saw about her life in the public

This took a while for me to get into it. it's been a while si ce I read iron flame and felt like I was dumped in the middle of the action. after about 10-12 chapters I was no longer struggling. I feel like Andarna and Xaden were the over all themes.
SPOLIERS
there was a lot of Xaden build up for nothing or no solution to happen. I feel like the whole cliffhanger thing is a bit much. I finished feeling unfulfilled and not with anticipation like at the end of Fourth Wing.
the action and relationship aspects were good. I felt like Violent and Xaden didn't have much character development. It feels like this was heavily plot driven- which is okay!

The characters are diverse in the sense of paranormal, not race. The main character had annonvious character arc which was annoying at times. Started off slow. Once I got past the first quarter I got into it
