Saw a video on youtube and I just had to read it. I couldn't stop laughing. But it also had a serious tone which really made me enjoy this.

A plot that's truly unhinged, I can't.

The art is gorgeous and the story messed me up a little bit.

The twists don't feel real though. Like I can't trust the author anymore 😭

This mangaka knows how to crush someone. I should've known before going in. Either way, it was good. I enjoyed it.

I couldn't stop reading. This has become one of my favorite reads this year! It truly deserves all the praise it's received.

Yadriel, Julian, and Martiza's strengths were beautiful. This book needs a sequel! I can't say goodbye to them yet. I refuse to.

Loved the narration though I had to speed it up a bit.

The story captivated me but sometimes it made me put it away. Loved the magic systems introduced in this story. Bree's grief struck a personal cord of mine. And it made it difficult to read sometimes. Anyway, the plot twists didn't really feel like twists? But it still surprised me 🤭

Sometimes I thought if I was really reading YA.

But it was good. I would've given it five stars.

But the idea of Sel and Bree together nauseates me. Considering how abusive he was at the beginning. And everything changes because what? A connection between king and merlin? lol hell nah.

I really loved this one!!! I'm reading the manga before watching the anime because I'd like to know what I'm getting into. The art in this volume was BEAUTIFUL!!! I can't wait to read the others!

And I love the characters and the ridiculous situation they find themselves in.

This second installment sends us into their world and how it works. And I love it for that. We saw Faye's struggle with herself, opening her eyes to the truth that she couldn't admit to herself. We saw Rune in a different light as well as Voshki and it broke my heart. I just love how their stories developed in this sequel.

Though, I'll admit I felt strange with Faye's pregnancy in all of this. I don't feel comfortable with pregnancies in dark romances but at least the author tagged it in the triggers. So, it didn't feel like a slap in the face. Also, the kids served a purpose in their story, in their growth. And I'm here for that storytelling. I'm not gonna lie. I love the power that rose inside Faye when it came to her family after what happened to aunt Clara. The changes that they're all going through, (Sadie and Kimber). I do still stand by the fact that Morbid is hiding so many things and could easily become a villain in their story. He's dismissing his daughter a little too much for my taste. The way he approached Faye's kids was given * finally *. I don't think the prophecy of The Eyes has been fulfilled. We'll probably know that by the last and third book. I really enjoyed it all and I wish I could contain myself and not spoil anything for anyone. I need a support group. Thank you for reading this mess.

also fuck the fallen queen of lace and bone.

I will miss the characters and keep up with the author on her social media. Because I need that third book or I'm going to fall into hell myself. Which wouldn't be so bad if Voshki and Vashien are there.

hehehe

I truly enjoyed this novella. But I am biased. I love Ana the Awless so much. She's hilarious and takes no sh*t from anyone. I loved looking into her life and what makes her tick. I wish there was more of her like this.

And that ending though.....author, we gotta talk 🤣

Strange Blood is an amazing sequel to Odd Blood. I love this series so much that I don't want it to ever end. At least, not their world.

Everything we experience within this book is crazy. For those that didn't feel the connection between the couple? You're definitely going to feel it in this one! Not only are they hilarious, they're sweet and it makes me wanna pair up with someone.

Also buddy reading this book is so much fun. Because you can have a freak out whenever a chapter does something. Which was every chapter let's be real.

I just love Josephine, the Rosalee Park vampires, Carlos, Michelle and Joanne 🤣

I can't wait for the third book coming this fall!!! Please give this series a chance. If you love cozy horror, beautiful himbos, female leads that are finding their strength and funny but equally messy roommates.

This book was a fantastic read! Something you read while trying to lift your spirits. It made me laugh over and over again. I got attached to these characters and their stories. I mostly loved their bickering. I've always appreciated that between characters. Especially those that are paired with one another.

I can't wait to read book two and fall in love all over again. Josephine is best girl and Eadwulf is best himbo baby.

*Note: I appreciate the author's content warnings, not only that but assuring us that there's a happy ending. That was such a rare treat. Thank you.

I've been struggling to read this book for a minute. At first, it felt like it was going nowhere. The beginning of it slow like it was trying to find its footing? I don't know how to better describe it. Though, that's what the story was at first. Filled with descriptions that pushed me away.

I'm someone that grows tired of that. When you spend too much time describing something that with a few sentences was enough.

But I picked the book right up and finished it. It gets better after page 269? Around there. Which is disappointing to me. However, as the story got where it should've been before, I saw myself enjoying it. It got better and better at the end. I wish that it didn't take till the last minute for the story to actually begin.

the characters: I loved the fact but her relationship with her love interest didn't make any sense. Not one that was properly told. By the end of the book you kinda get the gist but it didn't really made me feel anything. The timeline for their relationship also bothered me.

The other characters? I loved them all to be honest. I wish we had more of them. But we were all stuck inside the head of our fmc.

Overall, I'm not going to lie. I love this book. I have my own issues with it but I loved it. I will be getting the second book when it releases next month.

For those who wish to read it or about to give up: Keep in mind that the story is slow. And that the relationships won't make sense but it's worth it. Those final chapters? Had me at the edge of my bed.

I do hope the second book's storytelling is much faster. Less focused on the descriptions of the world around them. More focused on their connections. That's my hope for it.
