The Worst Best Man by Mia Sosa

Lina and Max were so delightful together! Not to mention Lina's family as well. The chemistry was burning, the banter was cute, and Lina's family made me very curious.
What didn't work out for me, was I believe the pacing towards the end. It felt really rushed.

Ohmg, my heart is so full right now! Rhys and Ariel were too sweet together and I absolutely adored how mushy it was.
Plus, I get to see a plus-sized YA romance, where the girl believes in herself and gets the one?? Are you kidding me right now?? It was the best thing ever

[3.5 stars] Such a cute read this one! I particularly love the art style, especially the intertwining with nature. The queer rep is also heartwarming to see, and it has an intriguing mysterious situation as well throughout. The story was just a little difficult to follow and had some parts that could've been explored more. Otherwise, it's a solid read!

The Decoy Girlfriend by Lillie Vale

Freya and Taft were going strong for me... Until they weren't. Fake dating is my favourite trope ever, and I especially loved how they included the whole 'Princess and the Pauper' background in the story. I love to read fellow authors falling in love!
The fact that Taft was an adoring boyfriend, who made sure to keep his girlfriend's needs at the forefront was amazing to me. His biggest challenge was to give himself time of the day, but I appreciate how that was addressed in the ending. Similarly, it was fun watching Freya spin a novel out in less than four weeks.
The only part that bothered me a little bit was how there wasn't enough room to explore Freya's grief. Taft's inability to not compromise was given way more attention. Not to mention that the side characters remained quite underdeveloped too. Like, I have more understanding of Connor (who's a douche for a friend) than, say, Stori (who's a constant support system for Freya). I believe the story could have been expanded a little more. I would have loved to see more character development.
But all in all, you should surely pick this one up! Maybe as your next train/plane read (iykyk).

Phantom of the Idol, Volume 1 by Hijiki Isoflavone

[3.5] The concept of a lazy idol and a dead idol enthusiastic to perform in stage was very interesting. Yu-kun is... Relatable. I would too love to become a sloth but not to the extent wherein I get paid for nothing (even though that's the dream... I would get bored of just sleeping around lol.) Asahi-chan's enthusiasm to perform is very refreshing, and I absolutely love her commitment to her work + fan service. The artwork was oh so pretty, and i especially loved Yoshino-kun's character design!
It's definitely a good one time read, which is well-paced and the art is a treat to the eyes. The only drawback is even though it was the first volume, I'm not very well aware of yu-kun and Asahi-chan's approach to life apart from their professional outlook. I'd like to read further volumes to understand this dynamic!
