Honestly I thought this would be a throw away book just to add to my GoodReads reading challenge, but I actually ended up enjoying it đ
Itâs short and sweet and itâs not conventional, which I liked!
The spice was okay. Solid 2/5. Nothing super special. I thought the book was really sweet for what it was though! Nice introduction to Ruby Dixon for me đ

I liked this book, it was a nice âsecond chanceâ love story, and I enjoyed that it showed how marriage can have good and bad times, but that after so long together, Matt and Abbie still wanted to be together and work things out.
It wasnât particularly fast paced, and the storylineâs that normally propel the story forward were a bit lacking for me, (I am a fantasy reader though, so that could be why). But all in all very heartwarming.
(Spoiler)
Kinda made me upset though that the whole reason for their marital issues were the fact they couldnât have kids. And then they just ended up accepting the fact they couldnât? Understandably thatâs what some couples do and go through, but it seemed off that they wanted kids so badly, then Matt turned around and said âactually, I never really wanted them. I just wanted you to be happyâ. LikeâŚ???? Idk. Wasnât the ending I really wanted to be honestâŚ
