ALL THE STARS!

this manga series is one of my favourites of all time and for very good reasons.

1) The Trauma that both characters face feels very authentic and genuine. The PSTD is handled very well as some pages you could feel the flashbacks jump off the page.

2) the relationship is healthy. Kira is stronger mentally while Rei is stronger physically. they both help it each other and support each other. THEY COMMUNICATE. (for many book and manga set in high school communication lacks at some points but i really applaud Mars for showing that they do communicate well)

3) The art work is beautiful and expressive nad matches the story quite well.

This was a short story and it was great.
[a:Roshani Chokshi|13695109|Roshani Chokshi|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1446482566p2/13695109.jpg] gives a lush, dreamlike tale of a femme fatale who one she killed is summoned back to the Harem for her next assignment.

the words flowed creating the world that felt full and vibrate and I could see in my mind.

loved every second of it.

Actual Rating 4.7 / 5

Crow Shine was a dark atmospheric collection of stories. It showed the good, the bad and the downright creepy underbelly of people's emotions, ranging from a deal with the devil to a bar fight gone wrong.

Stand Out Stories for me were:

The Darkest Shade of Grey
A Strong Urge to Fly
The Old Magic
The Darkness of Clara

These stood out for somewhat connection I had to the characters.
i would recommend this for people who want to try something darker in tone.

I recently rewatched the anime adaptation and decided to read the manga and I'm highly enjoying it.

The Story follows Nic, Worrick, and Alex in a vile Noir-quse city filled with criminals, gangs, thieves and whores. I love the grit and in your face nature of the artwork and the atmosphere was done perfectly.

Excited to start volume 2!

Just as good at the last volume; I loved learning about twilights and Nic specifically. Great draMA and worldbuliding.
