This was my first M/M romance book and I'm so mad at myself for not reading them sooner. I truly enjoyed this book as I was hooked from the very first chapter. I must admit, I had a little crush on Thomas as he stole the show for me in this story. Thomas' character development was spot on as the author did a great job of going into detail. The author's words sucked me in and by the time I knew it, four hours had passed, and I had finished reading. That's right, finished in one sitting.

The relationship between Ben and Thomas started off as a one-night hookup but soon blossomed into a wonderful romance. By the time I reached the middle of the book, I knew some sort of plot twist was coming, and when it finally arrived, I about fell out of my chair. I'll admit that I yelled at myself for not figuring it out sooner, but that is a huge KUDOS to the author. The plot twist was definitely unexpected and as always it lead the reader to experience some heartache. I will say the sex scenes were spicy!

Overall this was a very enjoyable read and I will gladly read other novels written by Kate. Great job!

The Teacher of Nothing by K Webster

This is my first read from K. Webster and I was pleasantly surprised. I was eager to pick this book up because I’ve heard nothing by good things about this author so I jumped on the chance to read this one. I absolutely devoured this book in one sitting and literally could not put it down. K. Webster’s words vibrates off each page, hooking her readers to want to stay and read more. I found myself wrapped up in the story, rooting for the characters.

The story revolves around Willa Reyes, an eighteen year old student and Callum Park, her much-older (thirty-five yr old) teacher. As we all expect forbidden romance comes with the territory and to top it off, it’s an age-gap.

“Your innocence is a temptation I’m obsessed with. I want to strip it away piece by piece.”

I will admit, I was hoping for some more smolder between the two characters and wanting to feel the angst in my bones. Even still, I enjoyed the romance between the two and will continue to read the rest of the books in the series.

Karina Halle's words vibrated off each page as I devoured this book. This is my first read from Karina and I was so eager to read this one, not only for the blurb, but I've heard so many good things about her work. This is not your typical vampire story, but it's also not your typical Dracula story.

Readers are introduced to Dahlia and Val, interconnected souls destined to be together over spans of time. We are first introduced to other heartbreak as Val's first love is literally killed before his very eyes, raging the vampire blood, heating his insides as he transforms into a blood-thirsty killer. Val continues life through the shadows but soon learns to embrace his humanity, taking up the mantle of a music professor at the local university in Venice, Italy. In comes Dahlia, a witch assigned to hunt and kill Val. But once they meet, the sparks fly as heated passion blazes between them. The spice between these two is off the charts. I will never look at a cello bow the same way again!

I was so hooked to this story and once it ended I was so mad, not realizing a cliffhanger ending was in sight. Talk about torture!! I am eagerly waiting for the next part, Black Rose. December cannot come soon enough!
Princess and the Player by Ilsa Madden-Mills

Who doesn't love a good sports romance? I am an avid fan of football and Isla Madden Mills, so I knew I just had to grab this one. Isla does such a good job with world building and continuing to create captivating characters throughout her stories. I actually did not read the first book of this series, but I certainly did not feel like I missed anything.

The readers are introduced to Francesca and Tuck. They meet one night after a crazy night at a fairytale masquerade ball. Francesca is reeling from her broken heart after she catches her cheating fiance, while Tuck is out celebrating his birthday. Once the two lock eyes, it's pretty much a done deal, as they cannot resist the fueling fire burning between them.

"Be wicked with me tonight. I’ll make you forget the guy who hurt you.”....ummm yes please!!!!

They have a passionate one night stand and go there separate ways, little do they know, they end up being neighbors! This was a cute and fun read and highly recommend!
One Night Standards by Heather M. Orgeron

This was a sweet and romantic read and just what I needed after reading some dark and heavy novels. One Night Standards is my first novel from Heather M. Oregon and I was pleasantly surprised. The blurb of this story intrigued me as it's completely different from the typical blurbs readers see on a daily basis, so I knew this would be something special...and it sure was.

Readers meet Lyle Livingston, the playboy bachelor who doesn't believe in relationships. He does as he pleases, shuffling from woman to woman. After years of hiding his feelings for Sammi for so long, he finds himself at her wedding, only to end up getting a second chance at happily ever after.

“You and me…we might be a surprise to everyone else in this room, but I’ve spent years dreaming of the life we’d share together.”

The relationship between Lyle and Sammi is filled with humor, emotion, heat, and passion. Their romance blossomed with each page as Lyle pours his heart and soul for his girl.

“Time can’t erase feelings this deep, babe. We’re written in the stars.”

I highly recommend this one.

WOOWWW!!! I don't know how else to express myself other than picking my jaw up off the floor. I knew I would love this book going into this, but I wasn't expecting this book to be ABSO-EFFING-LUTELY AMAZING!!! Shantel.....you hit this one out of the park! I was hooked from the very first chapter and finished this one in one sitting.

SIN....omg SIN....I swear tie my up and stick a bow on me, because he is all things glorious. There were times I loved him and others, I just wanted to punch him in his throat for acting so stupid, but this is a testament to knowing how well the author develops her characters. It leaves the readers feeling all kinds of emotions: love, hate, anger, angst, heat, passion, and all things involved with some downright kinkyfkery!!

This book is by all means the author's DARKEST book. Take heed of the trigger warnings as they are not to be taken lightly. Great job, Shantel! Amazing!!

This is the first book I've read from K. Fournier and I'm so happy I picked this ARC. I haven't read a paranormal fantasy romance in a very long time; like several years and I truly missed it.

This book is the first book of the Realms of Glass and Blood series and it's pleasantly surprising. K. Fournier did a great job setting up the backstory and world building for readers. I was hooked from the very beginning and read this book in just two days. I found myself emotionally invested, wanting to see how it all plays out. I will say the author's words made it seem as I was watching a movie unfold, instead of reading a novel. I found myself easily able to imagine the scenes as if they were happening in real time, part of our world. It's a true talent to be able to describe some settings to readers.

This is not your typical mermaid story. The author depicts several character arcs that span multiple generations, but it doesn't feel cluttered or too confusing. All of the characters had their own edges and emotional history, it's easy for readers to feel their heartstrings pulled. If you're a fan of fantasy romance with great world building, then this one is for you!
