Ok, so probably deserves 5* but I was able to put it aside and read 2 books recommended by friends without worrying I was missing out. I do like a feel good story now and then though and I got very connected to the characters.

Always fun. Need something for Halloween, but wanna chuckle, not stay awake all night? Cate Lawley is just what the doctor ordered.

I know, everyone says 5, but as good as the story was there were a couple chapters that got bogged down in lists, and having to translate the French was a distraction. That being said I'm glad I chose the audiobook because the narration by Michael Page was fantastic.

If I could give this book 10 stars it still wouldn't be enough. While the story itself is worthy of that praise, it's the writing style that outshines most of the books I've read. I took it slow, letting the words bathe me in wonder. Should you choose to experience it, be sure to give yourself the time it deserves. There is no reason to race to the end, this book is all about the journey.

What did I just do, this was a trainwreck and I couldn't look away. Sadly it was just as tragic.

It's an Elmore Leonard book, what can I say that hasn't already been said.

I love this series and look forward to the third book. I gave it 4 *s only because it left me with unanswered questions. The twists and turns, the story itself kept me glued to it. But the best thing is the continuous descriptions of Dr Motherspole which always gave me a chuckle in the midst of the horror. I'm intrigued by Will and Jem's relationship and where it is heading. Please, if you have the chance dive into these books, do it, you will not be disappointed.

I should have realized I would be confused by this book. Japanese authors seem to have that effect on me. I feel a little betrayed by the synopsis, expecting a host story and getting a coming of age one instead. The lack of chapters was unique, although I missed them. This was my first exposure to Banana, like all things I can't pass judgement on a single experience, so at some point I will revisit her. But with a completely different mindset.

A great storyline. I did it as an audiobook and the narration was excellent. But the ending dragged on way too long. I am glad it set up a sequel though and can't wait to see where the story goes .
