A great storyline. I did it as an audiobook and the narration was excellent. But the ending dragged on way too long. I am glad it set up a sequel though and can't wait to see where the story goes .

First off, read this if only for the amazing concept and SPOILER Alert, the battle in Valhalla. BUT, as much as I enjoyed it, I'm not sure it can get spread into a series. The imagery is fantastic though and did find I had a bit of a crush on Brevity.

Another great mystery by an author who is becoming a favorite. I can't wait for the next installment in this series. Mixing tradition with the problems modern life brings make these books even more interesting.

I always enjoy Hiaasen's YA. But I couldn't bring myself to put it in equal standing with HOOT or Skink No Surrender.

Let me tell you dolls. That was one snazzy prohibition era mystery. For once a gangster tale, sort of, that didn't get bogged down in the violence. I loved the characters and description of life in a speakeasy. A promised series, I can't wait for the next installment. Boop boop a do and twenty three skadoo, get out there and grab this one.

Sorry, it was good, not great. Bad nanny, unlikeable family and a bit too predictable. But what killed it was leaving one of the fringe stories open and why it was even brought into play. Perhaps a sequel, but I don't think there is enough left to fill a book. It left me wanting more and maybe another 50 pages would have satisfied that. I could go for a story revolving completely around Andy and Maxine, the only characters I really enjoyed.

This was an audiobook for me. As I had noted in the beginning the narrator's voice was hard to adjust to and why 4 instead of 5 stars. The story itself was great fun and definitely holds your attention and I will, at some point, grab the sequel.
