I love this book lmao i think about how this opened a whole subgenre of books up for me. Now Ice Planet Barbarians is a little more reasonable.

Beautiful but tooooo long to get through. Loved the Francophone magic world and the beauty of the way she describes siblinghood.

EDIT - i think about this book often.

I’ve never cared really about shit families but WHY?! It’s like hot southern gossip, I’m sat! It was so freaking good and never saw certain things coming but some things I did see coming. It was so good!

I'm here for a silly goofy time but lord knows I gag when a man calls a woman a godess SORRY sorry i just don't buy it lmaooooo i hate it actually it was so cringey

but i loved the story but the timelines on when things happened was sporadic. Like coming to the end of the book but a huge part hasn't been confronted.

Random parts of it were written beautifully. More of a 3.7

I have never read a book with this kind of plot of an accidental pregnancy. I also have never read a book where both characters had a disability but I thought it was super well intertwined without losing sight of the plot throughout the story. super cute!

While I liked this book, and the tie-in to the Minnesota world with her other books was clever, Abby.......Starbucks three times?!?!!?!?! YOU THINK I DON'T SEE YOU. The capitalistic sell-out is not freeing Palestine. Aside from that, I hate seeing anything in real life like Apple or Starbucks in a book. Make it up! I am here to ESCAPE.

The guy in this book was my favorite out of all of the Abby Jimenez books though.
