I Need You to Read This by Jessa Maxwell
mysterious
5.0
What a great mystery thriller! This one has just enough twists to keep you invested in the story and have you guessing what is going to happen next. I really enjoyed the newsroom setting and the characters.
In this book Alex starts a new job as the new Dear Constance advice columnist, replacing Francis after she was killed. Alex feels uneasy as they never found out who killed Francis. She sets out to find out what really happened, but as she is hiding things from her own past, secrets start to be revealed.
I love the advice column letters sprinkled throughout the story. It was a nice touch seeing letters that Dear Constance had received and reading them along with Alex as she pieces everything together.

This is the first book in the A Fairy-Tale Inheritance series and I really enjoyed it.
There were so many fun elements woven into this unique story. This book gives insight as to what happened after Cinderella’s story ended as we know it.
This book has it all including dynamics between friends and family, teen love, fashion and modeling, store window displays, and World War II just to name a few.

This was a good mystery thriller with great pacing and an engaging mystery.
This is the 11th book in the Vera Stanhope series. I hadn’t read any of the previous books in the series and was able to jump right in.
In this book Vera is called to Rosebank children’s home to investigate the murder of a university student and volunteer there. It also turns out that a 14 year old resident at the home has disappeared and could be in danger.

This was a twisty thriller with a unique setting. This book is about a group of people staying at an astrology themed retreat and their secrets get exposed when a storm arrives. Their host has an agenda and no one’s secrets are safe.
There were quite a few characters to keep track of in this book, none of which I particularly loved. However, I think that this was an element that worked well in this setting, as I truly did want to know what each person was hiding and why.
Even though there were a lot of characters to follow, they were developed and distinct enough to keep them straight while reading the book. I think that following the characters through multiple points of view also aided in moving the story along at a fast pace.

If you are looking for a good, themed psychological thriller with a shocking ending, read this.

Tangled Up In You by Christina Lauren

This was such an amazing read. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute I spent reading this one! Tangled Up In you is a Rapunzel retelling and it’s my favorite out of the Meant To Be reimagining series I’ve read so far.
There were so many things to love about this story and the way it was navigated. I adored Ren’s character and felt like it encapsulated Rapunzel’s energy perfectly. I loved Ren and Fitz as a couple and the entire storyline surrounding Ren’s background and how that came together in the end.

This was such a fun cozy mystery! I loved the Irish Bed & Breakfast theme and the mystery itself was really engaging. The characters really drew me in and had me invested in the outcome of the story. The pace moved along nicely and kept my attention until the very last twist.
This is the first book in An Irish Bed & Breakfast Mystery series. In this book single mom Kate rushes to her hometown after receiving an urgent text from her sister. Soon after arriving her sister’s best friend is discovered dead and she ends up being a person of interest. Kate is determined to clear her sister’s name.
