The salt from the tears I wept can only be matched by how incredibly salty Achilles mother was. I only read this book because I had heard how emotionally damaging it was, and was not disappointed.

I don’t fault Mina at all for just being down to ride as many vampires as possible at the same time. I too would want to kill my dad for trying to ruin that for me. Was I kind of intrigued by what the possibilities of a plot would be? Yes. Was I more intrigued in figuring where I can find a vampire that will bite me with the same results Mina gets? Yes.

Was this a fanfic Kal wrote about him being Hades and marrying the daughter of his overlord and corrupting her to make her his Persephone? Possibly. Was there a plot or point to this story other than bleeding and breeding? Yes, duh. There was some poetry so clearly that makes it ✨romantic✨

The world building and the story was so beautiful. I also love a fully adult female character who isn’t 19. Asher knows enough of the world but still doesn’t know better. Watching her unravel her trauma and build a relationship with Bellamy was amazing. That cliffhanger though… I need the next book tomorrow.
