The Isle of the Lost by Melissa de la Cruz

Actually a 3.5 but when rounded 4 is closer.
It was a good book, but I feel like it could have been better. I don't know it it was because I had higher expectations for it but the beginning was kinda slow and really cliché. There were, however, some impressive ideas that even I would never have thought to come up with such as Cruella treating her one and only son like a dog and slave. I would have liked to see more of Prince Ben; his story and mind intreged me. I didn't understand why Evie would always fall for Mal's stupid friend trap though. It was the one thing that also stops me from making this a 4 start book. Evie is supposed to be learning how to be evil not gullible.

I loved how sexy this book could become sometimes and when it wasn't sexy it was either bad@ss or mystical.
I'll admit this book can have its slow moments, but past a few of those and it's mainly a page-turner. My friend recommended this book to me because she had read Throne of Glass by this same author. Now I kind of want to read it too.

Something about this manga just kept on tugging at my heart and I didn't know what it was but I know that I'm thinking about buying vol. 2 and continuing with it,

Even though this manga had some slow moments it was actually pretty fun and entertaining for the most part :) With the whole being taken captive and everything it becomes really fun!
Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas
Unlike the first book, this one had its slower moments. But the ending was probably the best cliffhanger ever! I must say though, this series has been very predictable so far. I hope the next three are better.
By the way, has anyone else been Team Chaol since practicly the beginning of Throne of Glass? If so I commend you because I'm still cheering for Chaol too!
