I feel so sorry for Pony. He did not deserve this. He’s a sweet, kind, and brave boy who’s fallen head over heels in love with the cheerleader. He just wants to be a normal boy and let his transition not become his defining feature/fact.

I CANNOT TOLERATE GEORGIA!! I understand the 'girls shouldn't put other girls down shit' but she is the exact kind of girl I can't tolerate! she pretends to be good, thoughtful, caring, and 'not transphobic' but her actions portray the complete opposite!

She likes Pony and wants him in her life but cannot date him because 'she doesn't wanna ruin her IMAGE!'

I thought Jake would be your standard jock but I guess he was one of the very few okay ones.

It's not exactly rainbows and sunshine, rather the opposite of it. It has some very dark scenes, the plot and esp. the characters are very insensitive and can be gravely triggering for many. I won't recommend this to a person who's looking for a book to be seen in, but if you do pick this one up please go through the content warnings once.

it was okay. I mean I basically rate the books I read on the basis of how they made me feel, which and how many (if any) emotions I felt, and the overall experience/lingering effect it had on me which unfortunately this one didn't. it wasn't bad in any form, I just couldn't really extract/absorb anything from it.

raw, brutal, difficult to read but so important.

HE KNEW BETTER and he gravely took advantage of young, ambitious, naive girls. The money, fame, and recognition gave him so much power that he kept on doing it and getting away with it and that's why whatever happened, he had it coming.

A good plot, well-executed, recommended.

This book covers and deals with an aspect of love that I've never read or heard about. It questions the belief which is if you can find two true loves in one life and explores it BEAUTIFULLY. This was my first TJR book and it did not disappoint!
I can't say it was very relatable (because duh!) and at times, Emma's thought process and her actions did make me feel uncomfortable but the way the whole story wrapped up, made sense.

Also, there were some very beautiful lines from the book that I would like to include just so that I can admire the beauty of Taylor's words in the future.
You can't capture love in a bottle. You can't hold on to it with both hands and force it to stay with you.

Falling out of love with someone you still like feels exactly like lying in a warm bed and hearing the alarm clock. No matter how good you feel right now, you know it's time to go.
