Don't Want You Like a Best Friend by Emma R. Alban

An adorable lighthearted Victorian era romance. That feels like a season of Bridgerton mixed with the scheming of the parent trap. I thought the overall relationship and friendships were fun to follow along with during the novel. And am very excited for how the ending of this book sets up for the next!

Did not finish book. Stopped at 40%.
I think many people who loved a darker shade of magic, night circus and many things along the same line will adore this book. It is well written and intriguing just not for me at the moment.

This book, as someone who has suffered from 7 major concussion, migraines, and chronic pain made me feel seen and validated. It talks about the struggles of traumatic brain injury. The science and studies that have and still need to be done, especially one women and queer folks. It was marvelous, well said and anyone who has been affected by concussion ,tbi or has a loved one who has needs to check out this book.

I laughed and sobbed my way through this heartfelt novel. Love, grief, and forgiveness, Cochrun evokes all emotions through here we go again.

This one is for all the theater nerds, the neurodivergent queer kids, the people suffer from debilitating anxiety. Here we go again looks at growing up thinking you are broken because of all these things, but finally figuring out you aren’t. It was such a touching book about learning to love again and letting go of things you can’t control.

Captivating fantasy with a world influenced by Jamaican folklore.

This fantasy ya debut sucks you in and keeps you guessing till the end. Two sisters, one favored by the gods. The other bonds with the dragon from an enemy country they were most recently at war with

The different kinds of dragons, the rebellion, the topics of colonization. I enjoyed this book so much and can’t wait for the next one!

Devastating, Heartfelt, and Beautiful. This book wrecked me in the the best way possible.

Huang knocked it out of the park with his debut novel.

For fans of Addie LaRue and Song of Achilles, this one is for you. A gorgeous look at betrayal, love through reincarnation, Asian history/culture, and queerness. This will be, without a doubt, one of my top reads this year.

Latine mythology, the ability to talk to animals and romance! Asiri and the Amaru is full of heart and will have you smiling while you read.

This beautiful cozy romance was so wonderful. I loved the neurodivergent representation and showing that you can/will find the person who loves you for you who are.  Hernandez really hit this one out of the park! I also could not stop laughing at the sass from the animals.

This book has so much emotion, heart, and silliness! I will give this to every child in my life to help them learn that they don’t always have to be big and tough in every situation. That you can show your true self and everyone will still love you no matter what.

A satisfying conclusion to this limited fantasy series. Seeing the dc legends in a fantasy realm at war with one another is a whole experience in itself. I adored the two sapphic relationships portrayed in the volumes as well! Overall an absolute masterpiece out of the DC universe

This is a really amazing spin on the dc universe where the entire world is set in medieval times instead of today. A war between the kingdom of Storms and the Kingdom of El is brewing. If you love dnd and dc this series is for you!!
