This collection of essays is truly remarkable. Passarello’s voice is poetic and engaging, causing her essays to be truly immersive. You almost forget that you’re reading an essay, more a story. This book has earned a place as one of my favorites and top recommendations.

As a musician, I found the first two thirds of the book truly inspiring. Perhaps I took too long to finish. I might come back to it at some point, but for now I am grateful for the inspiration and I want to go practice.
