This was the perfect novella to start the new year! Desirée packed in so much beautiful writing into this novella. This historical romance will do well for fans of Addie LaRue mixed with Irish folklore. I loved reading the author’s note of the chronic illness representation in this book. I’m glad this was my introduction to this author’s work.

I couldn't have loved this more!

I read this book from the recommendation from @_ericasbookshelf_ on Instagram and I'm so glad I did. This book has everything! From the banter, the tension, the "I absolutely loathe you but I'm so attracted to you!"  Our FMC, Raya, is Palestinian and I loved learning more about her culture and the Arab culture that's weaved throughout this book. Our MMC, Anthony, is down bad for Raya and I love that we get his POV to see how hard he falls for her. This book definitely reminded me of why I love historical romances.

This is my first Alexa Martin book and it did not disappoint. A non-booklover taking over her grandmother's bookstore meeting and falling for a romance author is too perfect! Jasper had me all in the feels with his declarations of love (I mean obviously he's gonna have a way with words) and the way he cared for Drew. Drew was a fiercely, independent woman taking over an entire establishment and putting on hold all of her dreams to keep the bookstore in her family. Both characters complimented each other so well. Absolutely loved reading this as an audiobook!

Jumped right into this one after seeing @authoralexiscmaness share it on her Instagram and I’m so glad I did! This was the perfect way to start any winter/holiday reads of mine. It was a quick read and yet I still didn’t feel like Nora and Bowie’s relationship was rushed. The side characters were all a great addition to the story too. I can’t wait to one day read the next book in this series with Killian and Leighton’s story cause it’s gonna be a fun one.
