As Good As Dead by Holly Jackson
I miss solving cases with Pip and Ravi, and reading this last book in the series makes it so much fun and entertaining. The law enforcement aspect and the medical theory around murder are very interesting to read. Despite that, I found myself not vibing with Pip's repetitive internal monologue, while this narrative can give me a better understanding of the characterization and how the development from the previous books, still the repetitiveness makes me bored in some parts. Also the romance sub-plot not doing it for me, i don’t care because i’m here for the mystery and thriller aspect.
I do feel that the ending was also a little bit rushed, and not completed.

"But…but if that was winning, why did it not feel like it? Why was she still sinking?"

I love the action packed scenes. And the internal war make it for the drama and put me on an emotional roller coaster.
Spare by Prince Harry
I enjoy and love this memoir, despite the 722 pages, I never found myself getting bored with the story.
This book encapsulated all the stories that i only heard from the media with more detail and real, not just rumours.
The life of Prince Harry with all his privileges and weaknesses is presented in this book. I’m amazed at how real this book feels like, the drama and trauma.
How he deals with the death of his mom, and how media has treated him since he was a child to this day.
I do get emotional on certain parts in this book, and I wrote so many annotations and highlighted many sentences within.
The Indonesian Translated Ver is well made and translated.

Check & Mate by Ali Hazelwood
This book isn't perfect, but its imperfections make the storyline feel real and raw. While I occasionally felt annoyed with the main character, I realized this mirrors how people—including myself—typically think and behave. I felt deeply connected to Mal; her internal monologue echoes my own thoughts, and I saw myself in her weaknesses and problem-solving approaches. The romance is a delightful slow burn with subtle pining, leaving me craving more. Despite my lack of chess knowledge, the book remained entertaining and enjoyable. I couldn't put it down and had an absolute blast reading it.

“Because we hate feeling like we did anything less than our absolute best.”

In this volume, Yona and Hak embark on a mission to bring peace between Kohka and Qing. The found-family trope is beautifully portrayed, adding depth to the story. Yona must risk her life and reveal herself to save her friends, showcasing her growth as a character. I particularly enjoy the bold moves she makes towards Hak when they decide to separate to talk with the Wind Tribe and Soo-Won. The ending is thrilling—I can't wait to read the next volume!
The Wild Robot by Peter Brown
A middle-grade story, following the life of a robot who is stranded on the island. Her name is Roz, and she experiencing life for the first time. It’s so heartwarming reading this book, the kindness and amazement that Roz shows throughout this book is so pure and enjoyable to read. I love her interaction with other animals, and how she learns from them, she is also becoming a mother and how those things shape her character despite her being a robot which doesn’t have emotional capability like human does.
I enjoyed my time reading this book, such an easy read, the ending also left me hanging because I want to read more of Roz’s life on the island with her animal friends, can’t wait to read the second book.

everything about this book is so relatable to me, i learned a lot about what God wants for my life and how to live my fulfilled, more happy and joyful life. this book grounded me and taught me how to be more grateful and amazed by every blessing God put into my life. how to see myself through God’s eyes and stop comparing it to other people’s life. i can see myself re-reading this book in the future.
Daydream by Hannah Grace
It's not my favourite from the Maple Hills series, but Henry represents me so much. I never thought I could see myself on Henry and how it resonates with me. The way he handles crises and things that are overwhelming is the same as how handles it, also the fact that he is the only child makes it the same as I am. Sadly the romance felt a little bit hasty and just on the surface level. I enjoy their friendship situation more than the romance main genre.

Before We Forget Kindness by Toshikazu Kawaguchi
Reading this fifth book in the series felt like coming back home, I’ve been reading the book in this series since last year and I love and enjoy every second of it. although, the terms and vibes felt repetitive throughout the book, but the difference and uniqueness of each story made it to me. this book in particular centres around the family aspect, except for the last short story. and if you know me, you know how family theme books can make me cry easily. love this book, short and heartwarming!
