Keajaiban Toko Kelontong Namiya by Keigo Higashino
Dan to be honest, their stories and characters are my fav.
Setiap relationship between characters-nya ditulis sangat heartwarming, makanya aku sering berkaca-kaca waktu baca buku ini. I love the setting of this book, kerasa banget pedesaan dan nature-vibe feelingnya.
Another book by Keigo that i love and treasure!!

And Every Morning the Way Home Gets Longer and Longer by Fredrik Backman
Oh i love this book so much, at the beginning i got confused with the setting and plot but once i understood the relationship between the grandpa and Noah, everything made so much sense and it made my heart ache and smile at the same time.
This book is so unique, because mainly Grandpa and Noah just sit on this bench and talk about life, Noah’s school life, how Grandpa met Grandma and how the departure of Grandma affects Grandpa. I adore how Grandpa and Noah resemble each other. Felt like they had their own universe and understood each other.
I love the last scene when Noah takes care of Grandpa. Everything about this book screams heartwarming, cosy, warm feeling and I’m glad I read it.

Grandpa smiles then, without moving his lips. Noah places the string from the balloon in his hand and shows him how he is holding the other end.

A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson
this book cures my reading slump. it is very fast-paced, and i’m so eager to know about the mystery. i love Pip as a character, i want to have focus like her, she is very bold and brave and i see this as a strong character that you can trust her opinion, she is also astute and i love how kind and thoughtful she is. i can’t predict the plot twist, and this book had no plot holes. Personally, i don’t really like Ravi's character and approach to the case at the beginning, i felt like he just being a shadow from this book, i wish i could get him more involved and be explained as one bold individual.
i have teary eyes when they bring Sal, and i didn’t expect this reaction would come out when i read ya-mystery book.

“And though this story does have its monsters, I’ve found that it is not one that can be so easily divided into the good and the bad. In the end this was a story about people and their different shades of desperation, crashing up against each other.”

Even Though I'm Told I Now Have Wings by Honobu Yonezawa
Overall i enjoyed reading this whole series, selalu menjadi pengalaman membaca yang menyenangkan!

If Cats Disappeared from the World by Genki Kawamura
A book about someone trying to prepare himself for death. It explores the topic such a grief and purpose in life. Somehow this book felt uplifting to me because it reminds me of how short my life is and which things should i prioritize and be grateful for. To not spend time on the things that are useless. Sadly, i didn’t felt much connection to the main character, feel like his voice and pov are very far away, i just can look at him as someone who experience things and i could learn from him.

To live means to cry, to shout, to love, to do silly things, to feel sadness and joy, to laugh, even to experience horrible, frightening things. Beautiful songs, beautiful scenery, nausea, people singing, planes flying across the sky, the thundering hooves of horses, mouthwatering pancakes, the endless darkness of space,

Vermilion Rain by Kai Elian

Time of the Flies by Claudia Piñeiro
this book is such a detailed words explanation of womanhood, mother and daughter relationship and i did love this kind of aspect, i love the dive-deep into Inez's life and everyone around her, the decisions she’s making throughout her life, the consequences that she’s dealing with and the peace she’s trying to make with her self.
sadly, i felt the storyline was withdrawn too long, it was a plodding pace, and some chapters were just full of explanations about flies (while i understand the link the author was trying to make, i felt those explanations were unnecessary to the general plot and the character growth. i found myself being bored most of the time and it ended up making me not enjoy reading this book. quite a disappointing read.

“Who is Inés Experey? Is there still anything of the woman she was before, some original essence from the time when she felt disrespected, cast aside, betrayed, unloved, unfuckable? Just her and her decision. But life dealt its hand and left no room for these philosophical questions, as often happens when life asserts itself.”

Episode Hujan by Lucia Priandarini
Tulisannya pun enak dibaca, lugas, kadang puitis.

Apprentice to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer
I miss and adore Evie and Tristan, as well as the other characters in this book. I love their relationship and the found family trope in this book. This sequel is getting more complex in terms of the character background and family and I love how while reading this book I also explore so many settings. However, I felt the plot was all over the place, so redundant and predictable. This book I’ll recommend for you who want to read for the cosy fantasy vibes only.

She was afraid, but she knew now: fear usually meant you were standing on the edge of something new, something self-altering, something potentially good. Fear was not something she would shy away from ever again.
