The writing style was a little odd and made it difficult to visualize what was happening sometimes but outside of that I really enjoyed this book. The intimate character dynamics, southern Gothic vibes, queer representation, and cool supernatural plot made it a great read.

Once again Jason Pargin has fulfilled my disconnected need for gore, humor, existential philosophy, and lovably imperfect characters, this time amid a zombie apocalypse. Amazing read.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 51%.
This was really hard to get through and felt like it was filled with unnecessary and uninteresting details that made it unmotivating to continue. I listened to this on audiobook and wasn't a big fan of the narrator either but I definitely would not have gotten this far if I was reading the book.
