Parts one and two were very basic, neurodiversity 101 which I didn’t really need or enjoy, but the third part was solid and insightful. Will be recommending specific essays to people who are struggling to embrace their neurodiversity. I wish there was more discussion regarding queerness’s relationship with neurodiversity, especially trans people and neurodiversity.

It was good but I find myself missing the found family of Circle of Magic :( the tone shift from middle grade to YA was sharp and fast, but once I got used to it it was a fun read.

Cute book that I think would’ve been better if it had more time to expand the story. Everything moved at such a breakneck pace it was hard to follow at times.
Ace and Aro Journeys: A Guide to Embracing Your Asexual or Aromantic Identity by The Ace and Aro Advocacy Project

Frustrated that this book is more just Ace 101 rather than what the title states it is (understanding and accepting your own identity). I could tell after three chapters I wasn’t going to gain any new information from it unfortunately.

I read this book primarily to confirm whether my held beliefs about Catholicism were based in fact or twisted from learning all the information as a child (and this book being published in 2001 was even better in this regard).
I did not figure out that answer from this book. Instead it danced around the subjects implied by the title, instead talking in circles about the same topic over and over and giving in depth historical context without providing concrete information beyond bible quotes and a decent bibliography.
Based on the title and the description on the back of the book, I (wrongly) assumed this would be a good entry level book giving an overview of Catholicism. I’m sad to say that isn’t the case, and I suppose I’ll need to find a different book to find the information I need.

Listening to this while dealing with a bout of health anxiety was a bad call, but overall a solid addition to the series. The ending almost made me cry a few times and I had to take another walk around the neighborhood during it because I was so stressed haha.
