This was Katee’s first m/m story and it definitely ate! I loved the neurodiversity representation with Poseidon, he truly is a giant teddy bear. At the beginning the vibes between Poseidon and Icarus felt very insta lust and the feelings weren’t really there, it almost felt forced. But by the end of the book their actions and communication locked it in. While the overall plot felt like a let down, I know it is setting us up for the next books and I cannot wait for Zeus and Hera’s story!!

The twists and turns throughout this book had me binging through this rather large book! I do think the world building is pretty intense and can be overwhelming at times, but once things start clicking in place it is truly an incredible world Mary E. Pearson has created. It is such an interesting take on fae with the various types and magics. I especially loved the banter and angst between the fmc and mmc. I can’t wait for the next book and seeing how Bristol grows as a character!

Did not finish book. Stopped at 26%.
Not sure if it’s the pacing or writing of this book, but I’m struggling to want to read it.

Dragons, magic, hidden queen, fantasy, romance and more! There is so much going on in this book that you can get easily lost. The choice of words for some descriptions seems like they were selected from a thesaurus, which made it hard to follow the story vs words we use in our natural language. Oftentimes characters were name dropped with no descriptions, it took a good quarter of the book to figure out who some of the main characters were and their importance. There almost seemed to be too many characters. I did enjoy how strong the fmc was when faced with difficult times that worked again women, even if she came off winey and child-like at times. I do which there was a little more tension and build up in the romance, it almost felt Stockholm syndrome like. I am extremely interested to see what happens next!

Thank you to NetGalley for the arc for my honest review.

A second chance romance that follows Eva, the fmc who is stuck in a job she hates and Rylie, her ex who has a popular social media following. When Eva calls out Rylie online, it starts a chance for a re-do relationship, but both sides do not have the same end goal.

The premise of this book sounded fun and enjoyable, however the fmc was overly rude, borderline cringe and the mmc had little to no personality, I honestly don’t remember much about him. The book started off great with some solid banter and tension, but fell flat halfway through and just seemed to drag on.

Thank you to NetGalley for an arc for my honest opinion.

What would get if you take a low stakes cozy fantasy and add some romance and spice? You’d get the Leafshire Cove Monsters series ❤️ The second book in this series follows a sassy witch and golden retriever Minotaur. I absolutely loved the banter between the characters and the rivals to lovers was so much fun! If you’re looking for a fun, easy, but spicy read, grab a book from this series!

Thank you Lila Appleton for an advanced readers copy!

I struggled to get through this one. The first part of the book was so shocking and extreme. So much happened in such a short time that the next parts seemed to drag on and I found boring at times. This is listed as a dark romance, but the romance seemed lacking and it felt more lustful than love.

A suspenseful read, but the ending felt very lackluster and wrapped up way too quickly for the length of the book. There was almost too much going on with 3 different mysteries being uncovered throughout the book that there wasn’t any clear direction which made the ending feel rushed.

No notes.

I’m absolutely devastated.

I finished this book a week ago and I’m still shocked and screaming about this book. Suzanne not only writes a great story, but one that has you thinking and reading between the lines of the parallels to what could be.
