oh this gave me such good vibes and feels. i laughed, i shed a few tears, and i found myself smiling so many times through this story!! this was truly a perfect “right person, wrong time” story! i loved every character so so much. it was so wholesome, sweet, romantic— without being overly cheesy! if you’re looking for a heartwarming, quick read i highly recommend this!!

⚠️PLEASE CHECK TRIGGER WARNINGS BEFORE READING THIS BOOK⚠️ the first part of this book is -capital, bold, triple underlined- D.A.R.K DARK!!!!!! there were multiple times i had to put the book down and step away for a little bit mainly bc on the back of my head i know there is shit like what was written happening CURRENTLY… EVERY.SINGLE.DAY and it just made my heart and soul physically HURT! it destroyed me! i enjoyed this book more than the first! once you get past the first part and when Z really kicks it into gear to get his girl, it made me love him so so much! and seeing Addie overcome the nightmare she went through and become stronger and powerful from it was super satisfying. i loved getting to know each of the characters more in this book and i fucking LOVED Sibyl!!! this whole story was a wild fucking ride to say the least and it’s one that will haunt me for a long time!!

what a crazy wild ride!!! i don’t know why i put off reading this one for so long! i knew a little about it before going in (um, hello chapter 16 😳) but i loved that there was a murder mystery twist and i loved what Z stood for… is he absolutely battshit crazy… ABSOLUTELY… but i can get behind his crazy 😜 i can definitely understand how you can either love or hate this book… there really isn’t much of a middle ground. i personally loved it and it has me waiting to dive into the second book immediately! i loved the cat and mouse game, the banter, the spice was *chefs kiss*, and truly loved the murder mystery. and the CLIFFHANGER… i may have slammed the book shut with a scream because of that cliffhanger!!!

4.5⭐️ rounded up /// holy moly what a wild ride!!! this was such a beautiful start to what i can only imagine will be a crazy beautiful tragic journey. this book is THICCCCCC but the story really sucks you in at certain points. is it a little long winded at times… yes. was the fist 40% slow as fuuuuuge… yes. BUT once you get to the middle the story really picks up and i had a hard time putting it down!!! this had everything i love in a good romantasy… but i was left with a few questions that i hope will be resolved in the second book! now to wait for book two!!!

not my favorite FM book but it had some good “woah” moments and as always i loved how fast paced her books are. this one was just a little too drawn out for me and not that believable and very repetitive! i also found these characters quite annoying. all in all still enjoyable but again not my favorite.

i have never read a book like this… the endless stream of Norma’s thoughts and words was a bit hard to grasp at times… there are no quotations marks, and we are reading everything in norma’s pov… this book was beautiful and heartbreaking and honest and challenging, it had some really good moments and some really bad ones (i.e the bathtub scene will never leave my brain) overall i didn’t hate this one… it’s just not something that will stay with me or something that i care to ever read again.

what did i just read?!? creepy little child that’s WAY too obsessed with her father 😳 i enjoyed seeing both mom & daughters perspectives. i felt like there was too much backstory for the mom, and felt myself skimming over most of it. i found it quite annoying how the father took so long to believe the mom. there was a lot of 😲🫨😬🫣 if you want something with disturbing shock value i definitely recommend!

i demolished the first book in two sitting… thisssss oneeee took me a bit longer to get through. was it just as fast paced and thrilling as the first? yup! but i kind of figured out the big twist early… i very much still enjoyed this book, i just enjoyed the first one a little more.

woah. i DEVOURED this book in just 3 hours!!! it was such a fun easy read and truly sucked me right in. for it being only 183 pages SO MUCH HAPPENS… the story moves so quickly but doesn’t leave you wanting more at the end. i truly felt satisfied with the whole book start to finish!! so well written!!! this book pulled me out of a LONG reading slump and i’m so happy it did.

this was such a fun quick read!! it literally sucked me right in and i read it all in two sittings. the writing is VERY fast paced, and the chapters are short *chefs kiss* that is truly my kind of thriller! this was my first freida mcfadden book and i can honestly say it will not be my last! the last few thrillers i read let me down so it was nice to pick this up and love it!

the twist was kind of predictable… yes BUT the way the story played out made it just as good if it wasn’t. it gave me verity vibes!
