Enjoyed this! Loved the setting of fantastical France. Loved the witches and their magic system with “trade offs” to limit their power. The witches and the humans are both very very morally gray. You understand both their sides.

Two things that hampered my good time:
1. The relationship could have been more developed for a 500+ page book considering it is the main focus of the story. I didn’t completely FEEL their feelings for each other and felt like their ~love~ happened a little abruptly.
2. Some of the action scenes confused me?? Maybe I’m dumb but I would lose sight of where they were and the location of people during fights.

Overall a fun time! Leaves off on an obvious cliffhanger and I’m looking forward to getting back into the world in book 2!

A wonderful book to end a fantastic series. (Crying as I write this review) This historical Russian fantasy trilogy is so so magical and full of triumph and heartbreak. Vasya is one of the BEST heroines I’ve encountered.

I LOVED being in Alaska in this book. I also loved watching Calla grow as a character and find her interests outside of the life she knows in Toronto. Her and Jonah's dynamic kept me turning pages and rooting for them!! I feel like I personally know all these characters now and was so happy to see her relationship develop with her father. I'm SO GLAD this is a series!!

*sigh* can I go live in Alaska now?? This was a great continuation of Jonah and Calla's story and I loved our new characters we got to meet as well!

The perfect Valentine’s read! Reese is an aspiring Broadway dancer who misses a once in a lifetime audition with a famous choreographer. She seeks out his son with hopes of getting a second chance but has an instant attraction to Leo, the quietly grumpy NYC baker. Their relationship ensues over cake pops and turns STEAMY. A hot and sweet rom com!
