Four Found Dead by Natalie D. Richards
3.0
I'm always looking for a good theatre horror novel. This would have been a decent one if it actually all happened in a theatre.
Instead, this is a decent mystery horror thriller set in a defunct mall from which there is no escaping.
This is the second audiobook I have ever listened to, but I found the narration to be especially compelling.
The characters are likeable and there is so much tension throughout to keep you on the edge of your seat.
A great young adult horror novel worth checking out for the high tension and emotional turmoil.

This was fun a one. I love the descriptions and the narrative voice. There is something eerily cosmic about it and it works.
Great short read.

I wasn't sold on this immediately, but I am so glad I finished it through. You will be too.
Dark Harvest by Norman Partridge

It reads like a young adult horror novel and I'm not mad at it. I loved the descriptions and emotions of Sawtooth jack and the flashbacks worked nicely.
I'm a sucker for small-town horror.

The Last Haunt by Max Booth III

Rated up. My Rating 3.5/5
The thing I liked most about The Last Haunt is the way it is written. Told in a sort of documentary, epistolary style through interviews and statements about the notorious attraction and its equally infamous founder. It gives it a grimy or gritty feel which is all the more appealing.
Taking inspiration from the real-life extreme haunt, McKamey Manor, Max Booth adds mystery, thrill, suspense, and a neat little twist to his McKinley Manor. With references and nods to popular culture and horror movies, Max roots it into a reality that is believable.
Thanks to Cemetary Gates Media, and Max Booth III for the advanced copy. My review is honest and voluntary.
