“We are the weapons and this place is the stone they use to sharpen us”

Talk about emotional whiplash!!! There’s lots of world building and intrigue going on in this novel. I have a lot of questions but I’m not sure which are actually leading somewhere, so I’m very interested to find out. Overall a pretty solid “middle of the series” book and I’m already looking forward to the next!

A really interesting sociological read! I appreciated the way she talked about each generation, provided context for what may fuel their outlooks and opinions, and then also drew comparisons and contrasting points between them. For me the toughest pill to swallow was that based on her cutoffs I got booted from the millennials to the zoomers as a ‘95 baby lol.

Claire, you genius! Storm of Olympus was the icing on the cake for this series. I absolutely LOVED the journey of seeing different fates for Daphne and Apollo. This novel put me through the whole spectrum of human emotion and I was on the edge of my seat from start to finish. I think there’s a lot of poetry to the parallels she draws with her work and the ending was wholly unpredictable and completely satisfying.
