Alright, currently crying because i’m overwhelmed with emotions after reading this. This book is making me bawl happy tears at 3am.

At first I didn’t really understand why everyone loved this book so much, I thought it was trying too hard to be profound and that it didn’t have a great plot. BOY WAS I WRONG.

This was a beautiful story of self-acceptance and love and THAT LAST LINE BRO WTF. IT SHOULD BE ILLEGAL TO MAKE ME SO HAPPY BRUHSHSHS.

GIVE ME THE SEQUEL NOW!!!!

5⭐️!! The plot of this was really great! I love the characters with all my heart, Yadriel, Julian and Maritza are all so well written!

I really like how well Aiden Thomas could develop characters! You could really see how they progressed and changed throughout the story and as the reader learned more about them.

I’ve always been fascinated by Día De Los Muertos, and being able to read more about it and learn was so interesting!!

I will definitely be reading more of Aiden Thomas’s books in the future!

this book is unforgettable. this book did a fantastic job at portraying trauma, i have never had as much of an emotional response to a book as i did this one. Eden’s story was real and her emotions were powerful.

The story is about Eden, a girl who is raped by her brothers best friend, someone she trusted, had a crush on and would never imagine would harm her. But he did, and I thought this would be the saddest part of the book. but what hurt worse was her trying to tell her mother, she was trying to find her voice but couldn’t. that was heartbreaking.

This book is told in four parts, freshman, sophomore, junior and senior. It shows how being raped effected her, her life and how she treats people. I can’t really explain how remarkable this book was. Amber Smith was able to write emotions so well I felt them too.

⚠️SLIGHT SPOILERS FOR THE ENDING⚠️

Although the ending left a lot of questions I really think it suited the story well. People say they wanted a trial, and to see what would happen with all her friends, and I definitely wish that i could see that too. but the ending that was written was amazing in itself. Eden didn’t have a “knight in shining armour” come save her, she saved herself. she found her voice, something that she struggled with the entire book, she was able to do.

I am so glad i read this book and I’m going to be thinking about it for a while.

MY FAV BOOK IN THE TRILOGY. I think I got emotional whiplash like 15x. I have no clue why this book evoked as many emotions in me that it did, but it was great.

I cried both happy and sad tears while reading this, i also smiled so much my face hurt. My love for Adrian and Nova is too much, they are quite possibly one of my favourite book couples.

The plot of this series may be a bit cliche, but i’m a sucker for superhero plots, I love the moral battle the characters have and how they are struggling to see if good and evil really is so black and white.

I have a book hangover now, and I know this is the only book i’ll be thinking about for a while.
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

The best way I could describe the seven husbands of evelyn hugo is, it’s a gift. This is a book that everyone has to read, it’s eye opening and sickeningly beautiful.

I was not prepared to have this many emotions after finishing this. I feel for evelyn, she’s unapologetic about her search for power and fame, and I think that made a very interesting perspective to read.

Going through each husband’s chapter felt so different, some brought me to tears because of sadness and others brought me to tears because of laughter.

Reading evelyn struggle with her sexuality was moving, it was complicated and upsetting but also empowering.

Every single character in this book was very complex, nothing is black and white. Be prepared to take in different sides of everyone.

This book was so fantastic I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone.

3.5⭐️ I liked this one better than the first. I thought the plot was a little bit more complex, though the climactic points were still predictable.

I enjoyed the message of the book and thought the plot overall was pretty interesting.

I’m keeping this review pretty short so that is all lol.

Alright I’m giving this book 3⭐️ because i didn’t really enjoy it until the end. I think the plot had a lot of potential but it wasn’t well executed. Reading this book after Killing November was underwhelming, but I could really tell how much Adriana Mather improved as a writer.

I found this book very predictable, there was a lot of obvious foreshadowing which made it pretty easy to guess what was going to happen.

The part of the book that earned the 3⭐️ was Elijah because he was a very interesting character. I love ghost stories so that part of the book was very enjoyable.

Overall, decent read, it’s short enough that it wasn’t frustrating, but i didn’t really like it until the end. I feel like this would’ve been a book i loved in 8th grade.

If I was rating this by how many stars I think this book deserves logically, it’s probably be 4⭐️, but my emotions are all over the place and my love for this series is too great for me to rank this lower than 5⭐️.

I want to start off my saying, this series is so hated upon for Tahereh Mafi’s unique writing style. But I loved it, and so often it’s over looked that she is such a talented writer and has a great way with words, all because the style of it is not what people are used to.

I’m in love with like every character in this book, and also have found 4 new comfort characters
