I saw the twist coming and the ending was too,,,,,, tv show like lol there’s no way everyone survived what they went through

I’ve had this book on my tbh for ages and was a little disappointed:( it did have intense parts but it honestly dragged too much and I didn’t care much for the characters except for the side ones who barely got any mention

The only thing that was interesting was Janice, Cory, and Clare and seeing how they tied into the story. At first I was like

This is a perfect book to read this fall ! It involves a lot of references to classic horror/thriller movies and talks extensively about the Final Girl trope (probably the best I’ve seen so far w this theme).

All of the characters were interesting and definitely had a Gen Z vibe, the entire book does actually. But I really enjoyed that! This is a modern book fo sure

The plot twists were crazy and I didn’t see some of them coming. I also loved how the chapter’s had titles!! It’s a lost art!

Only 274 pages so it’s a quick and easy read

The beginning was slow but I liked the podcast parts. Did not like Reagan and she was the main character LOL

I’m never reading a book because it’s popular on booktok ever again !!!!!!

This was so bland???? The characters - Connell and Marianne are so boring. I literally was rooting for their misery, I wanted them to suffer. I didn’t care about them at all

I think I lost brain cells in the first 200 pages trying to read this. The setup and time jump is so jarring and the author is using a lot of telling and not showing and it’s so bleh
I only gave it two stars because the last 20-30 pages were interesting but maybe I finally lost enough brain cells by that point
