DNF. The writing was by no means bad, but this story just was not for me. To me, Giovanni morally gray character leans too much to the bad side. And I didn’t particularly like Mira either

I love how he never changed her, and any changes she made about herself is because SHE wanted to. I also love how he took up HER name. I love a strong heroine.

DNF. This is an interesting concept! There was limited character building, and I didn’t feel that they had a connection. It seemed more like they liked each other because the author said so. That probably had to do with the length of the book. Maybe it there was more written, my issues would have been fixed….

Also it would have been interesting to see the racial implications of a Black woman marrying royalty

I was a cute story. I wasn't feeling the epilogue though... the ending was TOO perfect, if you get what I mean.

I love a couple who are opposites, but balance each other out. Lillian was the true star between the two of them.

Wow! She did it again! I loved this book! I felt warm and fuzzy at the end. I love Minerva and Colin! Colin is my favorite type of hero in historical romances. I stan.

DNF at 71%. The ghost storyline is killing me. I’m literally over it.

First off, automatically the book gets three stars because it is Cam Rohan. The next star is given because of all the nicknames he has for Amelia in his language. I am a complete sucker for that. The last star goes to the lovely plot!
