Loved the spice, but I felt like the characters were very one-dimensional. We don’t know anything about MMC’s life besides the fact that he runs this store and used to be a cop. We know a little bit about her but why does she have NO friends? Quite a few typos throughout. And the ending was very abrupt. They honestly barely know each other by the end. As erotica, it was good, but as a romance novel it was lacking. I also felt like the consent, while there, was a little bit dubious given the circumstances. We do get to explore that verbally at the end with them which I appreciate. Also, at a certain point she needs to stop calling him Asshole Bill. The way he was described throughout the book gave him a creepy and unattractive vibe. Oh and we never even find out how old they are which bothers the SHIT out of me.

TLDR: If you’re just looking for spice, absolutely read this book bc it was hot, but don’t expect much in the way of the plot or character descriptions.

The spice is top tier, but the incest is too much for me. At the same time, I don’t feel there was closure between Jake and Tiernan and I felt like he just randomly became a secondary character which I didn’t like. Also, when Kaleb starts talking, he becomes an entirely different person. You don’t go from being animal-like to a perfectly fine human just because you start talking.

It was good, but I didn’t like that it was split into three separate couple because I felt like we didn’t get to know any of them well enough. At the same time, I like that they sort of all became friends.

I liked Iris and Stevie, and I really liked the concept of the book. The first 3/4 pulled me in a lot more than the last 1/4. I really loathe third act breakups, so I think this was part of the problem. But Stevie was so relatable because she throws up when she’s anxious. Me too girl

It felt like two separate books, I didn’t feel like we dug deep into character development, and I hate the accidental pregnancy trope.

3.5 plot but it gets a 4 because the spice was some of the best I have EVER read. I liked the plot and the conflicts because I found them to be believable. However, I felt conflicts were resolved too easily.

I do not think parents would so quickly get over the idea that their daughter is dating not one, but TWO men almost twice her age. Add on top of that that Carl is Katie’s boss? The power imbalance here is crazy.

I also found the resolution of the conflict between the two sisters to be unbelievable.
There was so much deep seeded resentment and I do not believe that they could get over it simply by smiling and complimenting each other a little bit. I understand that the big event that happens at the end furthers her relationship with her sister, but I think there was more that needed to be addressed.
Also resentment does not go away so easily.

The age gap between the two MMCs and Katie was a little unsettling. On top of that, the fact that they wanted a baby SO quickly when she’s literally in her early twenties makes me feel gross.
