The Atlas Six by Olivie Blake

The plot of the book is definitely intriguing, but a lot of the time there isn't really much that goes on. Worldbuilding could also use some work. A lot of text I just skipped over because it just sounded repetitive with nothing important to say. Like flowery language with lack of substance. I do enjoy reading each character's POV and I am curious to see what happens in the next book. The plot twist at the end was wild though.

I enjoyed this one! I don't mean to compare authors, but it gives off Emily Henry vibes. Marriage of convenience + second chance romance is the main trope, and while I usually don't love marriage of convenience, I enjoyed this one! Half of the book is kinda angsty with both characters circling each other and I was irritated at them at times cuz they seemed childish. Overall, it didn't detract too much from the plot.

This was my first Tessa Bailey book and I'm not sure if this was just a one off since I've seen her books over social media a lot. Despite the cutesy cover, this book was 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ LOL. Which I didn't mind, but the characters weren't great and the plot was just ok. MMC is a walking red flag!! And does the FMC have any friends?? Why do you even like him?? 😭

I finished this book and started Better Hate Than Never and DNFed that one at 15%. I'm not sure what it is between the Bergman series vs. the Wilmot sisters, but this series seems to be a bit lacking. The reason for the third act breakup was so dumb and nonsensical, and neither MCs were particularly interesting. I feel bad for the MC's sister but tbh she was really annoying 🥲

(Fake) friends to lovers? Bad boy with soft heart? I'm in. This one is one of my favorites of the Bergman siblings! No third act breakup and loved that the MMC wanted to work on himself first. We love growth 👌🏻
