I felt like I was reading a ten year olds diary. Terrible writing, childish, cliche, frustrating, predictable, and boring.

Lara Jean is a junior in high school and she's one of three sisters. The eldest moves to Scotland after breaking up with her longtime boyfriend who lives next door. The youngest is named Kitty and wants a dog desperately. Lara Jean writes five letters. One for every guy she fell in love with. Ones gay. One moved. One was at a church camp and was never seen again. One was her sisters ex. And one was the prettiest boy in school. Sound cliche yet? Just wait. After her sister Margot breaks up with Josh, Lara Jean realises that she loves Josh again once someone sends out Lara Jeans love letters and they get back to the boys. Josh realises he likes her too. But the prettiest boy in school, Peter just broke up with his long time girlfriend, and he got his letter too. Lara Jean and Peter pretend date to make Josh and peters ex jealous. But surprise surprise. They fall in love. Margot comes back after finding out Josh did a sneak attack kiss on Lara Jean and tells their father that LJ had sex with Peter on a school trip(which she didn't). LJ and Margot get into an intense fight but automatically forgive each other, which is totally unrealistic because my sister and I still hold grudges from past fights. Everything's all fine and dandy. Josh is back to being just friends with her. Peter and Lara Jean like each other. And she ends the story by writing a love letter to him.

YUCK GAG BARF. To the person who recommended this book to me, im coming for your head. Why do you hate me so much? Gah damn.
