Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

This is the first book I've read by Lila Dawes, the fifth book in her Citrus Pines series, and I can NOT wait to read the rest because I loved this book!
Rebelle's evolution was amazing to read. Seeing her go from completely untrusting of anyone and everyone to her awe filled "I have friends" had me tearing up. I love the relationship between Rebelle and Will, but I also LOVED that there was a big emphasis on the friendships and the relationships with animals. It was all so ✨️ wonderful ✨️
Will is the PERFECT counterpart to Rebelle. Think about the most delicious pairing, then read this book, and it will be replaced by Rebelle and Will 🤤🤤
Before diving in, check out the content warnings because there's some heavy, sometimes graphic content that could be triggering, but 100% worth the read if your heart and mental health can handle it 💕
Claire and Rowan's story is so swoony, a little angsty, a lot "JUST TELL HIM HOW YOU FEEL ALREADY" and absolutely perfect.
This book is closed door, but the on page kisses are so FREAKING dreamy you'll probably blush anyway 😉
I love the history between Claire and Rowan and the relationship she has with his family. It feels so real and relatable, like you could crawl into the book and hang out with these characters.
I absolutely loved this book and can't wait to see what else Laura writes 💕
Eve has written another wonderful book to add to her Techboys series 👨💻🖱💻
Liss and Dan's story was an adventure to read.
It's second chance romance with a heavy pour of miscommunication and spice that will have you running out to buy tights (IYKYK) 😉
There is a lot going on in this book, family drama from both MCs, missing person, heartbreak, secrets, travel, friendships in multiple countries, and it all comes together in an "I NEED to know what's going to happen" way that will keep you reading past your bedtime.
There are some scenes that could be triggering, so be sure to check content warnings before diving in.
If you haven't read the first two books in the series, I recommend reading those before hopping into this one
Laura Langa wrote a wonderful book, and if you love fake dating, he falls first, single dad, swoony romance, then you should definitely pick this one up.
The tension between Ann and Zane is wonderfully frustrating. Their kisses could set the page on fire. The way Zane shows up for Ann had me swooning all over the place.
The friendships and co-parenting relationship are beautiful.
Some of the dates that Ann goes on had me cringing and laughing so hard, read with caution (and an empty bladder) when meeting Nana (IYKYK, if you don't, you should find out 😏😏)
⚠️Warning ⚠️Ann's family may cause involuntary violent throwing of your kindle/book for some readers (hi, it's me, I'm some readers)
I feel like every time I read a new book from Laura, it becomes my new favorite book by her, I can't wait to read what she writes next.
One Call Away by Lexy Josephine had me hooked right away. It's workplace romance, it's mutual pining, it's holy sh*t just admit that you want each other already in the best possible way.
I absolutely LOVED reading this, I love the anxiety and plus size rep, I love that it's Canadian, I love the 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days' vibe. The flirting, the banter, the SPICE 🥵 they're all 10/10.
Watching Stella and Ben go from insecure and untrusting to being vulnerable and open was beautiful. The writing had me feeling everything that these characters had gone through both in their pasts and together.
I'd also like to note that the friendships in this book are 👏👏 amazing. Everyone needs friends like Vanessa, Dylan, and Nate.
If you're looking for a romcom to cozy up with, I highly recommend giving this one a read.
It was such a delight being back in Smugglers Cove for Hilary and Ryan's story.
Just Say It is the absolute PERFECT title for this book because you'll be screaming those three words at both Hilary and Ryan throughout the story. (In the BEST way)
I love that their past is woven together with the present, and you get to experience everything these characters went through to get where they are.
Anna's writing will have you feeling like you're in Alaska seeing and experiencing things right alongside this group of friends.
This book is angsty and frustrating but also so swoony and beautiful 😍
I think I've found my new favorite book by Laura Langa, and I'm super disappointed that the cover for this book isn't loading on my Kindle because it's beautiful 😍
I absolutely LOVED reading this grumpy/sunshine, slow burn romance.
Haley is such a bubbly, fun character who leaves home in an attempt to "grow up" and ends up finding self-acceptance and love instead 💗
I loved Yeti from the first awkward moment he and Haley met. I loved his growth and seeing him come out of his cave (IYKYK)
There's so much love in this book, so many different relationships with friends, parents, and siblings, and they're all amazing.
I found this book to be very relatable with the struggles with anxiety and self-doubt (who hasn't been there). And the story felt real. You feel the struggles and the triumphs right alongside these characters.

Holy sh*t, Verses of Us by Mimi Flood was a RIDE.
The angst is strong with this one. My heart broke, and I was scared Alexis and Ciarán would leave it that way. (They didn't, thank-you Mimi 😉)
This is a love story that spans 20 years, and I'm happy to be mad about it 🤣
Ciarán is a Rockstar, Alexis is a HUGE fan, and a radio contest changes both their lives.
Alexis and Ciarán are frustrating and stubborn and made me want to throw my Kindle across the room. But their story is also beautiful and passionate and will have you believing in destiny.
This is the first book by Mimi Flood that I've read, and I will definitely be checking out her other books!
