Long Enough to Love You by Kirsten Hegberg Pursell, Kirsten Hegberg Pursell
4.0
A book about empty nesters, narrated by Jenn.
A mother and wife who has lived her marriage just going through the motions. When Jenn’s mother dies she finds her diaries about her first love, they empower her and remind her of how she lost herself into becoming Mom!
It is sad how so many people feel trapped in marriage because of circumstances. You know the reality of what’s written is truth:
PEOPLE STAY IN MARRIAGE FOR:
Their kids
For financial purposes, I can’t support myself.
Giving up thinking this is as good as it gets.
Don’t want to be alone..
We all know these realities are lies, such an amazing read!
Many should read because Jenn’s thoughts on life, marriage, love, and finding yourself is completely relatable.

There is nothing better than a twisty mystery thriller!!
This book is so well written that it keeps you on the edge straight from the beginning.
A mix of characters come together over people who go missing in Rock Harbor Maine.
It will keep you constantly re-guessing who dun it all along.
It’s a must read thriller.

An enticing suspenseful mystery that has you flipping through each page with anticipation because you know Madam McFadden will always surprise you in the end.
I enjoyed the prison play even if some small parts do not seem very realistic but with a book you can make anything you want work, no complaints here… because it worked.
Brooke, pregnant at 17 leaves school and her small hometown to live with a relative. Her parents sent her away because after suffering from PTSD and nightmares they just felt it was safer for her. Her last time at home 3 of her friends died at a sleepover by the hands of her high school boyfriend.
Much thanks to Prime books for the chance to read this amazing book!

Blue ran away from home at 17, after her Mothers drowning. She ends up hundreds of miles away, living with her Aunt and finding out she’s pregnant. Now 10 years later her husband leaves her, asking for a divorce, just after losing her Aunt so she returns home.
This new beginning for her and her son Murph, leaves her wondering whether or not she wants to be home or go back to her abusive relationship.
A small fishing town in Florida, beautiful sunsets, secrets from the past go full steam ahead as Blue searches for answers that ruined her life to run at 17. Two families torn apart from these secrets, denial and heartache. You will absolutely love the writing, the families, the friendships. It’s a sweet romance with drama like Lifetime movies and magical PG feels like Hallmark.
Thank you Netgally, Jess Sinclair

The Bride by John Nicholl

A slow paced story being told by a mother to her unborn child.
It starts with growing up in Wales where two teens fall in love and get married right after graduating from college.
.
The book doesn’t pick up much until about 60% in but at that point it does get much more interesting. It’s quite a twisted and unpredictable ending, just how you love a good psychological thriller to end, keeping you thinking well afterwards bravo!

What did I just read??! I’m all hear no, see no, speak no but here goes…
This is the book of all your nightmares!! Sickening to my soul! I’ll have nightmares about these monsters!
An utterly terrifying story that gave me chills, and had me sick to my stomach. I’ll admit that I skimmed through the POV who’s flashback narrative story flips back to 1933 then comes to life in a Sci-Fi fantasy sort of way..
The other POV is in 1991 is a suspense mystery, told by Evie Day when she returns after five years Evie Day is back in her hometown, in Woodsville, Arkansas to attend her grandfather’s funeral. Evie discovers an old photo in his belongings along with a key and a vial of blood, from a case he was working as a local cop many years ago. Now, Evie is pulled into the middle of the mystery that her grandfather left for her.
I’m super sensitive to child and animal abuse, so this was so insane for me to handle. This was listed as a Fiction Thriller and oh no it was not! I love horror flicks but I could NEVER watch this if it became one. To me this was more part graphic horror and great suspenseful mystery..
Trigger warnings: sadistic pedophiles, child rape/extreme abuse/child trafficking's, satanic rituals, bloody sacrifices, an absolute horror.
Ms. Vancise, what a crazy journey a bit much but bravo because i liked it , I think. I give it 3.5 stars

Gone Tonight by Sarah Pekkanen

A great psychological mystery that I finished in a day. Unfortunately for me it was a bit slow, with not very much going on in the first half of the book.
Ruth gets pregnant with Catherine at 17. She flees her hometown living on the run pregnant and on her own. They move often to keep out of sight from anyone who might have known Ruth.
25 years later Ruth begins a journal to share about why she’s so secretive and protective of her daughter.
I enjoyed the two POV’s and short chapters especially when Ruth was writing in her journal. I just didn’t connect much with it as a thriller. I do recommend it, because it is quite a shocker and unlike anything I’ve ever read.
