In the beginning it was quite hard for me to keep reading this book as I was sort of bored by the writing style, even though I have read a book by George Orwell before. Nevertheless, the plot was always interesting and by adding another person to the plot, I was more likely to actually want to read the book. The plot twist surprised me, I cannot deny that, but it was definitely something that gave the book its character again. To think about the kind of society and government that has been created by Orwell is horrible as I would not want to experience it but somehow it has parallels to actual historical happenings which is quite frightening in my opinion. I rate the book 4/5 stars as I was not quite content with the writing style at first and the slowness of plot but then I was excited to read more. I definitely recommend reading this book.
