"just keep swimming"

"it ends with us" absolutely broke me. the whole story line based on own experience of the author was incredibly beautiful but also terribly heartbreaking at the same time. the whole conflict of this plot is really thoughtful written and there are many aspects to discuss it but somehow colleen hoover managed to give a view on it which is quite understandable on every side, when it's about lily's thoughts. i can only recommend this book but need to mention that it can be emotionally damaging. still, it is an absolute masterpiece, in my opinion.

first thing i need to say about this book: it is heartbreaking. it is terribly heartbreaking to face especially two young boys getting told they will die during the day, not knowing how directly, just that they will not survive the day. and it is equally heartbreaking to see how they are trying to get the best out of the day, because their time is running out. the story line is actually so amazing and deep, still it makes the book even more sad to be honest. i really enjoyed reading it because i loved to see the characters developing even though they just had one day left to spend. it is absolutely worth reading and also gave me some new kind of aspects to think about.

When I finished this book, my head was empty. I was completely overwhelmed with how I should react to this end. I had quite a few emotional breakdowns during the reading process since the plot and the quotes were mostly stunningly beautiful. The character development Evelyn but also Monique made was also really incredible, at least in my opinion. I am a person who likes to think about what I just read and this book gave me a lot to think about. I can only recommend this book, honestly.

despite the fact, that this book is about four twelve year old boys who curse quite a lot, i personally loved the writing style. it was easy to read and some quotes were really thoughtful. they had truth in them. the story is really sad and cruel - for example chris or teddy's father - but at the same time i enjoyed the story line all in all. this might be weird if you consider the fact that this book is literally about a dead body of a twelve year old boy but well, i really liked the book.
