an absolutely lovely little book, read it in an afternoon. gorgeous cover, cute illustrations, and a wonderful and simply story. a struggling 29yo becomes a magical girl and is trying to figure out who she is and what she can amount to while a magical girl union is trying to stop climate change. loved it so much!!!!

really got into this and found it completely engrossing and fascinating, even if i might wish it could've gone a bit further

loved! really interesting! the actual mechanics of how anything works didn’t really matter to me (and wasn’t explained like at all) but I really liked the main character and the exploration of her grief and parenthood

listened to the entire book at work, admittedly didn’t get to pay 100% attention throughout and consistently felt like I was missing certain moments but nevertheless I loved it, definitely made me want to rewatch one of the greatest movies ever made

enjoyed it, had quite a few problems with it, namely the fact that the main character is named fucking Oxnard. jail

wonder how straight people who read this react to the lengthy very gay sex scene. that was pretty good

good! really loved the first third of it specifically! everything after kinda felt a little rushed, the side characters didn’t feel very complete, and it just didn’t fully satisfy me but I’d still easily recommend it

it’s fine! got a lot less into it as the story progressed and as more reveals happened. doesn’t help that the synopsis is quite a bit of a spoiler tbh
