Cute but Psycho by Beatrix Hollow, Beatrix Hollow

Cute but Psycho is my first book located within an asylum and goodness gracious I've been missing out! I love how all the main characters had their own narrator and the dialogue between them was freaking HILARIOUS sometimes! It had the gore and violence somewhat expected in a dark romance and of course the steamy scenes that had MF/MM/MFM. I thought the narrators did a great job but my only issue was the narrator for Baz as I didn't like his voice and it took me out of the story every time his part came on.

Given how much I loved Titan I was super excited for Blood Moon. Paranormal rivals to lovers is one of my favorite tropes and Jillian did not disappoint with beautiful plus size Hazel and handsome Vlad. I loved how Jillian did not write Hazel like most writers tend to do when it comes to plus size FMCs and did not let her size bother her at all whatsoever in the book and as a plus size female myself I felt very seen. As I feel like it is coming to be expected from Jillian, Blood Moon spicy scenes were indeed hot and definitely made me wish I had a Vlad who could read my mind to see what I want without having to outright speak it. I am VERY excited for more of the Strange universe!

In the beginning I didn't like Shiloh but as the story progressed I loved her growth. The story between Shiloh and Cary was a bit messy but you couldn't help but root for the both of them. Having different point of views for both Cary and Shiloh really helped the story flow and let you know how they were both feeling. The narrators did such a great job with Shallow.

Holy crap the CHOKEHOLD this book had on me from start to finish. Once I started it at 11pm I literally did not move from my position until 5am when I was finished. It was not what I had expected from the blurb and oh my God it was freaking amazing. Shark Daddy is my new book boyfriend and HD is definitely one of my top favorite authors as her writing style is dark but so good it sucks you in!

I saw several videos on tiktok about Because of Me and it sounded like a pretty good read so I grabbed it on KU and started reading. To say that it pulls HARD at your emotions is an understatement. I am a reader who normally doesn’t get bothered by any triggers so I read books with heavy topics and don't cry but Because of Me made me cry many times because of what Becca went through. I would recommend reading the triggers and taking caution while reading. This book hit me hard as it brought up my own unwanted memories, but I needed to finish so I can know how the story ends. It was an extremely emotional rollercoaster for me to put it mildy. Katie put me through the wringer, but in the best possible way because I needed the release of crying my eyes out when I didn't even realize it.

Dereck is my #1 cinnamon roll boyfriend as he is exactly what Becca needed and what survivors need in their life. He is extremely patient with Becca and there for her even when she is not making the smartest decisions. How Katie wrote the scene when Becca was ready for the next stage in their relationship was extremely beautiful.

It ends on a cliffhanger in a way and I am looking forward to the Because of You so Becca can get her HEA and Randy/Rebecca get what's coming to them.
