I think this book could have been stronger given some very serious editing. There were times where the writing read very wrong or just off putting. I found the characters, especially the mother who is the villain in this story, entirely one note. There needed to be more… substance to this book. I needed more relationship dynamics between everyone, romantic and platonic. 

The smut, however, was juicy and delicious and I ate it UP.

I very much enjoyed this. I loved the prose and found the writing style to flow off the page. I enjoyed the main character and her journey to save her mother. The mythology element was also something I loved. I cannot wait to read more from this author and am nervous to see what the sequel of this book will be.
