3.5 stars, definitely for fans of YA. This is a good spooky season book. Think zombies and ancient magical lands. Loved the pet goat and you probably will too.
3.5 stars, great October read. Although Annie is a bit of a pain in the ass. A light read, and cute witty quips. Definitely some spooky bits but nothing scary. I’m glad Annie found her way and Sophie is a bit overbearing but an Annie needed a Sophie.
Drama drama dramz. Such a roller coaster of emotions. Scandals, drugs, addiction, love, death; all of these topics and more were why I couldn’t stop gasping throughout the audiobook. 4.5 stars only because there was something missing between Anna and the count for me to get it to 5 stars. Nonetheless still a great twist on this tragic love story.
The author painted an exciting picture of a beautiful Mayan fairytale with her vibrant words. I loved the description of the different Mexican cities and US border towns. The history and time period was a nice change of pace for me. My imagination was in high gear for this one. If you like demons, witches, gods and the like, this will be your type of read.
The gay greek mythology love story I didn’t know I needed.
“In the darkness, two shadows, reaching through the hopeless, heavy dusk. Their hands meet, and light spills in a flood like a hundred golden urns pouring out of the sun.”
Like come onnnnnnn. This book has my heart.
