Wowwwwww what a story line!

Obsessed! perfect fun spicy holiday read, & both main characters are bi?! I lovvvvved! It’s like a hallmark channel only fans crossover. The characters were so unique & funny, obvs I listened to pj Morton’s Christmas album while I read. Highly recommend reading it during Christmas season it just makes the book soooooo much more delicious

Although the author tried her writing didn’t really sell me on this “magic phone”. Georgie sucks as a wife & mom, like who skips Christmas with their kids & husband? The only perk, that it was funny (in a depressing way) . Def not a “fun holiday read” to pick up, wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for a happy holiday read.

My mommy’s bookclub read this in 2024 & it reminded me I read this book! I remember really enjoying the storytelling especially the format with news articles & such. The giraffes & that young man were just full of life lessons. I actually had won this kindle book version from a goodreads giveaway in 2021 I just forgot that I read it.

lol it was before I knew how to really work goodreads okay?!

I was horrified. I got this as my October botm. This book creeped me tf out. It was a perfect holiday intermission type of read (see dates I read the book for further context).

You don’t know what’s real in this book, is it hallucinations, postpartum, mental illness or supernatural?? Or all of it or some of it?

Fmc is struggling caring for her newborn alone so she sends an email to her estranged mother & bam she appears next day. New mom, husbands away, dad is far but remarried & then in comes her mother to help.

Coincidentally, a childhood imaginary friend appears a few weeks prior to her mom. This family has dark strange secrets. When she catches her weirdo mom breastfeeding her baby I almost gagged.

I definitely gasped out loud multiple times. I would read the summary before just diving in because I had no clue what to expect although the cover does give creepy, it did not prepare me for this kinda creepy. Definitely read the acknowledgements!
