Thrilling. Bewitching. Marvelous. Astounding. Those are just a few words that I can use to describe K.S. Villoso’s The Dragon of Jin-Sayeng, which concludes the epic trilogy known as Chronicles of the Bitch Queen. I cannot believe that this book blessed my eyes. Just when I thought that K.S. Villoso’s writing couldn’t get better; she proves me wrong by knocking my socks off with this phenomenal book.
Thank you so much to Angela Man and Orbit for sending me a free copy. My views are my own.

DNF @ 30something% | This was an attempted buddy read with Justine (morenamonologues) and Mari (macnbooks). I think this book was the start of my reading slump. Ok, work definitely was the big factor, but damn this book didn't help at all. While the premise was interesting enough, I couldn't get past the juvenile writing and laughable dialogue. I was reading this at the same time as Faker and honestly? I much preferred Faker and lord knows I Did Not Like that book.
Between these two "romance" books? At least I was able to finish Faker.
I think if I was younger and didn't know better (aka haven't read better fantasy/romance books by better writers) I might have liked this book well enough. But I didn't like this because I have read better written fantasy books.
Anyway don't recommend this book. Moving along now.
Julia Quinn is a master when it comes to writing dialogue and interesting historical romance characters. I loved Kate and Anthony’s dynamic and chemistry. Their banter was so cute. I loved how their romance developed in what’s essentially an enemies to lovers sort of situation. While I wouldn’t say the sex was the hottest thing I’ve read, I did enjoy them. Perhaps my only complaint is that I rolled my eyes over how they ended up getting married.
