this one was a bit too long! I think it could've been two books pretty easily with like ignios/umbra as the first book and then everything else as another. insane for a slow burn to take until 89% into the third book to happen but w/e. I want to know what happens and it seems very unclear if/when the last one will come out
I was a bit annoyed by diem's stubborness and also flip/flopping. a couple things were very obvious (like aemonn being bad lol) and other things were genuinely surprising. ended on a big cliff hanger again so I fear the next one will too but without being able to start the fourth immediately
very fun. I like diem but I fear she may get a bit annoying with her stubborness. I don't care for Henri mostly bc I don't trust love interests that exist already at the start of a series. took a bit to not conflate descended with the ascended from blood and ash lol
I love torj sm and I love the alchemy of it all. I hate having to take my comrade hat off. and the ending was very clunky
I love this series so much, and it was so fun seeing all the other fmcs from the others duologies/novellas in this one. made me want to reread them all. the magic with the gods especially ne as r the end got a bit convoluted, but I still really enjoyed it
I think I like this one more than the first one. I found the characters more interesting and more were fleshed out (over than just the main two). Much like the first one, this book felt very rushed in the last 100 pages but I still liked it a lot!
felt like the writing was kind of bad in this one. a lot of telling instead of showing. also a lot of "how far we have come from blank" but it was a fun series overall
fun! feels a little acotar fan fiction-y. j thought the shift between book 1 and 2 was a bit abrupt and I do find lor to be pretty annoying. I liked the flashbacks in this one
