very fun! exactly what I needed to get out of my reading slump. not groundbreaking by any means and I saw a lot of the twists coming but I do love trials and an elemental fantasy world
felt very inspired by caraval and kingdom of the wicked (combo). I liked the OCD depicted as shadow voice. the end felt a bit rushed! but it was fun!

This felt like bad acotar fan fiction! Like I'm convinced it started it's life as acotar fan fiction, the plot is toooo similar. But the pacing was way worse! way too fast! don't try enemies to lovers if you also want to have them be "mates" all within the same book, it is ridiculous lol. all of this was probably exacerbated by the fact that I listened to it
really fun! I enjoyed not having to deal with world building and just enjoy a snappy mystery, I understand why it's so famous. I was often distracted/too interested in what the writing/characterization of things revealed about interwar America. history! lol
was fun! I think I liked the first one a bit more but will def keep reading them. I don't love the whole they're both virgins and will only be with each other 😤 thing lol. there's also a lot of named characters that aren't important so all the names are kinda confusing
