This was my first Enid Blyton book and it was ok. It was also my first book of 2019

Considering the book was published in 1946, it wasn’t as difficult to understand as I thought, however there were some terms I’d never heard of before

I first read this book when I was in primary school and loved it, I remembered the basic plot but other than that there wasn't much else that I remembered about it

It was an enjoyable read but not much else other than that, I don't know what I did and didn't enjoy about it, but I think that I would have enjoyed it more if i had read it again a few years ago

I loved this book, especially as someone who’s a big fan of quidditch

Rating: 3.5

Ok, this book wasn't bad, I just think that compared to her other books it wasn't as good. However I do have many positive things to say about this book

First of all, the positives:
I loved Nadine and Patty's relationship in the book and how it was shown without ever really feeling forced
I loved Reid's character, he was adorable and through the whole book he was the one that i was hoping she would end up with (I won't say who she does end up with though)
I loved seeing Abby, especially as i read Leah on the Offbeat before this and that book made me love her as a character, and i loved when Simon appeared

However, one of the things that i didn't like were Cassie and Molly, i can't explain why, there was just something about them that i disliked

Overall, an enjoyable book, I was just disappointed with it

I’ll probably read this multiple times for the different stories. But for the one I read it was short and ok. It wasn’t terrible but at the same time it was just ok

⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

I started off loving this book, but there were certain parts of it that kept me from really appreciating it as much as I could have

It was a 4 star read but then the ending disappointed me, I'm not a fan of when books try to hype something up and then it doesn't happen in the end. It leaves me with a feeling of nothing but disappointment

However I would recommend this book to people and I think that maybe I just didn't fully appreciate this book as much as i maybe could have

Honestly I wasn't enjoying this book from the first page and I think that perhaps I will give it another chance at a later date but right now i am DNFing it @ 66 pages in

The plot of this book bothers me and while I am pretty sure that the main character of the book has selective mutism, I also have that and the way that it is portrayed is difficult for me to read and right now isn't something that I need to read

I'm disappointed to be giving this book such a low rating, especially as this has had such a high rating

This book was adorable and deserves all of the hype. There wasn't a moment where I didn't want to squeal whenever the characters did something adorable. Though I didn't like Ben at all in it, I suppose that he was meant to be unlikeable

This was always my favourite Percy Jackson book and the graphic novel is no exception
